The port of Philipsburg is located on the Dutch side of the island, very close to Great Bay beach and the city center for shopping, a small meal on the boardwalk, or the casinos. St-John's is the capital and main port of Antigua. This little treasure is well worth discovering. This city is filled with history and colonial architecture. There are many monuments to discover like the Antigua Museum, Nelson Dockyard, the Cathedral of St John's The Divine and many others. You will be able to soak up their culture and the resulting atmosphere. There is always an air of local music when we walk in the streets and without forgetting the warm welcome of the Antiguans. It is also a very popular destination for sailing, since the wind is present there continuously. If you prefer to relax on a beach, there are several nearby, each just as beautiful as the next.
Saint Lucia is known among other things for its two pitons: The big piton and the small piton. They are in fact volcanic needles. For nature lovers and enthusiasts accustomed to hiking, it is possible to go there to admire them more closely. They are classified as World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. In Saint Lucia you can even observe the lava of the Soufrière volcano. It is one of the only active volcano in the world that tourists can get close to. It is also possible to go in search of beaches. The island has several, some with black sand. You will also find traces of British colonization there.
Basse-Terre is recognized as being an island of the wind with the neighboring island Nièves. It is also famous for its highest mountain in the east of the Caribbean which is called the Grande Soufrière. One of the must-see is the Brimstone Hill Fortress which is 800 feet above sea level and where you will have an impressive view of the other neighboring islands on a clear day. Basseterre has a volcanic past, you will see black sand beaches and even volcanic rocks. Without forgetting, that you can also simply enjoy its beaches and rest.
