Economy class flight from Montreal to Lima.
Reception at the airport by our French-speaking guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in, then the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner on your own. Night at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, transfer to visit the center of Lima as well as the bohemian quarter of Barranco. In the early afternoon, transfer to the land station to take your regular (direct) bus to Paracas. Lunch basket on board the bus. Arrival in Paracas, transfer to the hotel and installation. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Paracas
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to El Chaco pier to embark on the Ballestas Islands for a mini cruise of around 2 hours. in order to admire the local fauna: seals, Humboldt penguins, spider crabs, biting birds, black and white-necked cormorants, Inca terns… Return to the port and transfer to Arrival in Ica and visit of the “bodega” (cellar) “El Catador” craft: explanation of the production process of wine, Pisco and “cachina” (local alcohol) and tasting. In the afternoon, transfer to Nazca. Arrival in Nazca and installation at the hotel. End of the afternoon, Planetarium session at the Nazca Lines hotel, presenting one of the explanatory theories of the Nazca geoglyphs. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning. Dinner in a local restaurant or on board the bus (box lunch) according to the departure times of the bus. Departure to Arequipa by tourist bus (direct). Arrival in Arequipa in the evening and check in at the hotel. Option: Flight over the Nazca lines early in the morning: + $ 165 / person approximately.
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, walking tour of the city: the Plaza de Armes, the Cathedral (museum not included), the Mundo Alpaga, the San Camilo market and the Santa Catalina monastery. Lunch at a local restaurant where you will have the opportunity to discover "Rocoto relleno": a tomato-shaped pepper that is stuffed with a mixture of minced meat and vegetables. Free afternoon to enjoy the beauties and climatic goodness of this city under the eternal sun. Dinner in a local restaurant (show with guaranteed folklore show from 20 confirmed people). Overnight at hotel in Arequipa.
Breakfast at the hotel. Very early in the morning, departure from Arequipa to Chivay. After passing a pass at 4900m, the descent to Chivay or "City of Love" in Quechua, the entry point into the Colca canyon, is done in hairpins. Lunch in a local restaurant. If desired, transfer to the thermal baths of La Calera to bathe in its hot sulphurous waters (admission not included to be paid on site). Installation at the hotel. End of the afternoon free. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in the Colca Canyon.
Breakfast at the hotel. Very early in the morning, scenic drive along the Colca river to reach the Condor's cross. The road leading to the La Croix du Condor viewpoint overlooks one of the deepest canyons in the world: the Colca Canyon. From the watchtower, it is possible to observe the flight of condors that pass this place daily. Then return by the same road. The Antahuilque watchtowers, another observation point, allow this time to appreciate the canyon in its width, its agricultural use and its terraced cultures. Around noon, dinner in Chivay. Then departure to Puno. At the end of the afternoon, arrival in Puno and installation at the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant or at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the port of Puno for an all day excursion on Lake Titicaca, visit to the floating islands of Uros and the Community of Llachon. Traditional lunch with the locals. In the middle of the afternoon, return to Puno and transfer to the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant or at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Cusco by private vehicle: approximately 10h00 of road (including lunch break and visits) passing through the Altiplano and including various stops at the sites of tourist interest along the way: Raqchi and his famous temple to the God Wiracocha, Andahuaylillas and his “ Sistine Chapel of Latin America ”. Buffet lunch on the way. Arrival in Cusco and transfer to the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at the hotel in Cusco.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by private vehicle to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit of the local market then visit of the archaeological site of Pisaq. Transfer and lunch in a country restaurant to Urubamba (Δ 2 871), in the heart of the Sacred Valley. Fresh local products and Andean recipes on the menu. In the middle of the afternoon, visit the Inca village and the fortress of Ollantaytambo (Δ 2,792). Dinner at the hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by train to Aguas Calientes, the village at the foot of Machu Picchu. Arrival in Aguas Calientes and ascent to the citadel of Machu Picchu by tourist shuttle. Site visit. Located in the Amazon rainforest, the stone citadel of Machu Picchu is the emblematic monument of Peru, and, beyond, all of South America. Discovered in 1911 by the explorer Hiram Bingham, it is indeed one of the most imposing and impressive monumental groups on the planet, with justice recognized by UNESCO as cultural heritage of humanity. Built on the highest mountain in this area. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, departure from Aguas Calientes station towards the Sacred Valley. Return to Cusco. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the 4 ruins around Cusco: Saqsayhuaman, Q’enqo, PukaPukara and Tambomachay. Return to Cusco for dinner and overnight at the hotel. PD / D / S Option: Visit of the 4 surrounding ruins of Cusco and downhill mountain bike $ 150 / person (minimum 2 people).
Breakfast. Free morning. In the afternoon, transfer to Cuzco airport for the flight to Lima. Overnight at hotel in Lima.
Early in the morning, transfer to Lima airport for the return flight to Montreal.
