Currency

The country's official currency is the Renminbi (RMB). The basic unit of currency is the Yuan. It is illegal to use foreign currency. You should convert your foreign currency only in places that are authorized by the government. In addition, international hotels and some department stores in major cities accept international credit cards.

Voltage

You will need a power adapter and a converter. Power outlets used in China are not the same as in Canada (A / B). Voltage is different in China (220 V) and is higher than the voltage in Canada (120V). Frequency of 50Hz is also different than the one in Canada (60 Hz).
