What to do in Riviera Maya

Tulum Ruins

The archaeological site of Tulum is truly impressive: the ancient Mayan city is located right by the sea. In addition to offering a breathtaking landscape, the site has dozens of ruins dating back several hundred years. Among the most impressive are the Temple of Frescoes, the Castillo and the god of wind’s Temple.

Xel-Há Park

Xel-Há is a nature reserve that attracts many tourists every year, young and old alike. You can snorkel, swim in the cenotes, ride a bike to observe wildlife or even go down the river in tubes. There is something for every taste!

Xcaret

If you want to soak up the culture of the country, you must make a stop at Xcaret Park. Among other things, you will have the chance to see a traditional Mexican dance performance and the famous Voladores ("flying men") ritual ceremony.

Shopping in Playa del Carmen

The 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen is truly the best place to shop. There are both designer clothing stores and small craft kiosks. It is also the perfect place to taste local food and have a drink on a terrace. Depending on the hotel where you are staying, you can either walk or take a taxi to go there.

Swimming with turtles

Have you always dreamed of swimming with sea turtles? Here is your chance! Take an excursion to Akumal, put on your swimsuit, and most importantly, don’t forget your waterproof camera to capture this beautiful moment.
