Transat follows suit with its free insurance!

As expected, Transat is now offering its COVID-19 travel insurance for free.


Thus, from September 25, 2020 until November 31, 2020, all eligible travellers who book a round-trip flight from Canada to an international destination, or a Transat package to Mexico, Central and South America or the Caribbean, for stays of up to 21 days with a departure between October 1, 2020 and April 30, 2021, will be covered at no additional cost by this insurance.


This will be automatically included at the time of purchase of the package or flights, whether it is made at Voyages à Rabais.


The COVID-19 Medical Care Insurance Certificate , offered through Manulife when purchasing a round-trip flight or a Transat vacation package, includes, among other things:

• Emergency medical insurance, which covers up to CAD $200,000 per insured person for medical and hospital expenses that may be incurred due to a positive COVID-19 test result during the trip;
