Travel Tips

Before you begin your hotel search, ask yourself which criteria are most important to you. Is it beach access, the quality of the accommodation, the best price, or the quality of the food? Identify the three criteria that will determine the success of your vacation.

Budget

What's your budget? Set your budget at the start of your search to find the perfect all-inclusive. A little tip: when you're setting a price, don't forget to budget extra for little extras (excursions, souvenirs, etc.).

Location

Where do you want to go? To which country? To which region?

Would you like to have a hotel close to the airport to avoid a long journey after your flight?

Do you want a hotel located directly on the beach? Would you mind traveling further if your hotel is further away?

Would you like to be located near the city centre so you can more easily go to shops, restaurants and bars?

Is your hotel located near the activities you wish to do at your destination?

In short, take the time to check Google Maps to find the exact location of your hotel. This will allow you to see the distance from the airport and what activities are available in the area.

Hotel complex

Do you prefer large hotels offering many amenities or smaller, more intimate hotels?

What kind of atmosphere are you looking for in your hotel (family-friendly, festive, relaxed, etc.)?

What inclusions and services are important to you at your hotel (pools, spa, à la carte restaurants, bars, casino, wireless internet, etc.)?

Would you like to be able to take advantage of any particular sports facilities (golf course, volleyball court, etc.)?

Are you looking for a specific experience during your stay (swimming with dolphins, scuba diving, etc.)?

Don't hesitate to ask a travel advisor for help with your specific requests. They will be able to assist you with your research.

Bedroom

What type of room would you like (suite, sea view room, garden view room, room with balcony, etc.)?

How many beds do you want and what size?

What inclusions are important to you in your room (coffee maker, hair dryer, wireless internet, DVD player, mini bar, etc.)?

If you're not the type to spend a lot of time in your room during your vacation, opt for a basic room. You'll save a lot of money that way.

Evaluations

Have you checked traveler reviews for the hotel you're interested in?

Have you spoken to those around you? This will certainly help you make an informed choice.

Have you visited the Discount Travel forum? It's the perfect place to ask all your questions and get advice from other travelers. There are over a million posts categorized by topic. A real goldmine!

Once you have determined your satisfaction criteria, you will be able to choose the perfect hotel for you!

With that, have a great vacation!
