Canada's four airlines, namely WestJet, Sunwing, Air Canada and Transat have cancelled all flights to sun destinations until April 30, 2021 in a joint effort with the federal government to protect the country against further cases of COVID-19 coming from abroad, particularly the new variants.

As a result,

  • All international passenger flights must land at either one of the four biggest Canadian airports: Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary;

  • PCR testing is mandatory upon arrival (at the traveler’s costs);

  • All incoming passengers must await their test result at a Government of Canada-approved hotel at their own costs;

  • If the test is negative, travelers can continue their mandatory quarantine at home;

  • If the test is positive, travelers will be transferred to a government facility for the rest of their mandatory quarantine.

It is important to remind that these measures are in addition to those already in effect.

For all updates, visit the Government of Canada’s website.
