Canada's four airlines, namely WestJet, Sunwing, Air Canada and Transat have cancelled all flights to sun destinations until April 30, 2021 in a joint effort with the federal government to protect the country against further cases of COVID-19 coming from abroad, particularly the new variants.
As a result,
All international passenger flights must land at either one of the four biggest Canadian airports: Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary;
PCR testing is mandatory upon arrival (at the traveler’s costs);
All incoming passengers must await their test result at a Government of Canada-approved hotel at their own costs;
If the test is negative, travelers can continue their mandatory quarantine at home;
If the test is positive, travelers will be transferred to a government facility for the rest of their mandatory quarantine.
It is important to remind that these measures are in addition to those already in effect.
