Traveling while pregnant

Travel Tips

Traveling during pregnancy is possible, but you need to be well prepared! A pregnant woman without any health problems related to her pregnancy can travel by plane safely.

First, consult your doctor to find out if you are fit to travel while pregnant. It is also recommended that you visit a travel health clinic at least six weeks before departure to discuss any precautions you may need to take for your upcoming trip. This way, you can travel with peace of mind and be prepared for any eventuality, depending on your chosen destination.

Generally, pregnant women can travel up to the 36th week of pregnancy. Check the requirements of the airline you plan to fly with before even booking! Note that a doctor's note may be required to prove your fitness to travel. Be sure to check!

Contact your travel insurance company to ensure you'll be covered in case of complications, cancellations, or trip interruptions. Insurance companies have strict terms and conditions, so make sure you have adequate coverage!

A little tip, ladies. For your flight, wear loose, comfortable clothing. Flat, comfortable shoes are essential. It's recommended that you book a seat on the outbound side so you can get up as needed to stretch your legs and for any bathroom emergencies!

With that, have a good trip!
