With its 150 canals, 400 bridges, and magnificent palaces and squares dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, Venice is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. If you appreciate authenticity, you will certainly be charmed by its atmosphere!
I consider Venice to be THE destination for lovers! Indeed, who wouldn't be charmed by a gondola ride on the canals? Or by tasting antipasti accompanied by a good glass of Italian wine?
Ideal in spring and summer for its Mediterranean climate, Venice can also be visited in winter for a particular reason: its carnival! This attracts visitors from all over the world.
Don't miss a visit to Murano and Burano, two islands specializing in glassblowing that have an international reputation! Vaporettos (water buses) easily get there in 10 and 30 minutes from Venice.
Marco Polo Airport is located approximately 12 kilometers from the center of Venice. You can reach the center by road or by sea. I recommend the latter, which I believe is a wonderful experience. The Vaporetto (waterbus) connects various stops in about 45 minutes and costs €25 round trip per person. A private water taxi, on the other hand, will take you directly to your hotel's dock in approximately 25 minutes. The fare is €105 per trip.
