You definitely should visit Mount Isabel de Torres, from where you will have a magnificent view of the entire region. Have your camera ready! At the top, you will find the city's iconic statue, reminiscent of Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer.
Do not miss Damajagua Waterfalls! There you can relax in natural springs and bathe in paradisiacal caves, in addition to seeing some endemic exotic birds.
In Sosúa, there are things to do day and night. Take the time to go and taste some Dominican dishes with family or friends in the city’s many restaurants. You like to party? You will certainly find a nightclub where you can practice your merengue, the national dance, or sip a good tropical cocktail while thinking about your day spent at the beach.

The country's official currency is the Dominican Peso (DOP). U.S. dollars and credit and debit cards are also accepted at tourist resorts. Remember to communicate the dates of your stay in the Dominican Republic to your banking institution if you plan to use your cards on the island.
Electrical outlets used in the Dominican Republic are the same as in Canada. However, voltage and frequency may differ depending on the hotel. If your devices do not have the words: INPUT: 100-240V, 50/60Hz, plan ahead and bring a converter.
