What to do in Egypt

Visit the Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza

What would be a trip to Egypt without visiting the popular Sphinx and its pyramids? These impressive landmarks are a must during a stay in the city of Cairo. The Sphinx is more than 70 m long and 20 m high, while the pyramids can measure up to 146 m in height, including the pyramid of Cheops. This site is considered to be the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the World.

The Great Library of Alexandria

This historic site dating back to Antiquity promises you a most rewarding visit. Its great beauty, both inside and out, will overwhelm you at first glance. The building contains some 250,000 books, although there is space for a few million. The library was destroyed by fire before and after AD, but was rebuilt into a modern building towards the end of the 20th century with funding from several countries.

Take a cruise on the Nile

This African river is one of the longest in the world. Measuring more than 6,700 km, it represents the symbol of life fertility and wealth of past and present time. Cruise the Nile for a few nights to live a most immersive experience. This unique adventure will make your trip to Egypt unforgettable.

Discover Luxor's and Karnak's temples

Taking a trip to Egypt also means having the chance to follow traces of the past based on the ancient monuments that can be explored. Luxor Temple was once dedicated to the god Amun-Re. Karnak Temple is considered one of the largest religious complexes of antiquity. Admire the statues at the entrance as well as the sacred enclosure of Karnak Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temples are all equally impressive. They will make you feel as if you go back in time.

Enjoy an all-inclusive stay

Would you like to relax in the heart of Egypt? Some hotels offer you the chance to spend a full board stay in order to end your trip nicely. Among others, we often recommend the Palm Beach Resort Hotel in Hurghada. You may enjoy direct access to the Red Sea and take advantage of the various hotel amenities.
