Egypt's official currency is the Egyptian pound. We recommend to exchange your money at destination and do it progressively. Visa and Mastercard credit cards are accepted at ATMs.
Electrical outlets used in Egypt are not the same as in Canada. Voltage is 220V and electrical outlets used are types C and F. It is therefore important to have a power adapter and a converter on hand in order to not damage your electrical devices.
