Due to its mountainous terrain and humid climate, Jamaica is full of great waterfalls and cascades. The most impressive and popular with tourists are the Dunn River waterfalls. Remember to bring you water shoes!
It is possible to visit the place where lived Bob Marley, the famous reggae singer. You only need to climb up the steps of Zion to reach his mausoleum, one of the holiest places in Jamaica. You will have the chance to see up close some of the awards he has won during his musical career. In Kingston, which is about an hour and a half drive away, you can also visit the Bob Marley Museum, featuring several exhibitions in tribute to the artist.
With their turquoise water basin, stalactites and stalagmites, these caves offer a very impressive natural spectacle. Quieter visitors will have the chance to observe bats and snakes.
Ocho Rios’ fauna, flora and landscapes are simply breathtaking. Imagine ziplining through the Jamaican rainforest or riding pneumatic tubes down the rapids of the White River. You could also see a historic coconut plantation and swim in natural pools. Don’t miss this if you love nature and adventure.

The country's official currency is the Jamaican Dollar (JMD). U.S. dollars and most credit and debit cards are also accepted in shops and restaurants. Remember to notify your banking institution that you will be staying in Jamaica if you plan to use your cards on the island.
Electrical outlets used in Jamaica are the same as in Canada. However, voltage is 110V and frequency is 50Hz. You will need a converter if your devices do not mention INPUT label: 100-240V, 50/60Hz.
