Acoya Curacao Resort Villas And Spa

We didn't have unrealistic expectations for the resort, as we're more used to having beach access when we book a trip to the south. However, we were impressed by the size of the apartment and the view from the pool/bar. Since there's a small lake in the center of the complex, we were worried about mosquitoes. In the end, there were very few. As we cooked most of our meals, we only ate at the buffet at the end of our stay (lunch). The price was as expected for a resort (US$22). The atmosphere around the pool was quite lively until 10 or 11 pm. In short, a great find for us!

Nous n'avions pas des attentes démesurées du site car nous sommes plus habitués à avoir accès à la plage lorsque nous réservons un voyage dans le sud. Nous avons par contre été impressionné par la grandeur de l'appartement et la vue que nous avions de la piscine/bar. Comme un petit lac est présent au centre du complexe, on appréhendait les moustiques. Il y en avait finalement très peu.
Comme nous avons cuisiner la majeure partie des repas, nous n'avons mangé qu'au buffet à la fin du séjour (déjeuner). Prix attendu pour un complexe hôtelier (22$ US). Atmosphère assez animée autour de la piscine jusqu'à 22-23h.
Bref, une belle découverte pour nous !

Quiet place, beautiful location. The staff are very kind and helpful. The shuttle service is efficient: 9am-2am. Mambo beach: 2km walk back (with poor sidewalks), 2.5 hours to the cruise ships and return by taxi for US$20, 4 hours to the grocery store. Prices are rather expensive in general: US$24 for the buffet lunch, but very good. Several beautiful beaches. Car rental at the hotel: US$72 for a day, easy to drive. Very beautiful and very hot, a few drops of rain. Pleasant town center. While snorkeling, you see many varieties of fish everywhere. Crystal-clear water.

Endroit calme, beau site. Les employés sont très gentils et aidants. Le service de navette est efficace: 9h-2h Mambo beach: retour à pied 2.km avec trottoir deficient , 2.5h pour les bateaux croisière et retour en taxi 20$us, 4h pour épicerie. Plutôt dispendieux les prix en général: 24 $ US pour déjeuner buffet mais très bon .plusieurs belles plages en location auto à l’hôtel 72$us pour un jour, conduite facile. très beau et très chaud , quelques gouttes de pluie . Centre-ville agreable. En apnée, on voit beaucoup de variétés de poissons partout. eau limpide.

The pros: Very clean hotel, lovely pool that closes late, perfect for a quick dip before relaxing. Very intimate setting. Welcoming staff. The cons: The basic room is EXTREMELY small. The walk-in shower leaks everywhere, into the bathroom which doesn't have a drain, so you have to mop it up with the small towels after every shower. The hotel is very poorly located; you need a vehicle, and the one we rented from the hotel broke down on the other side of the island. Instead of sending us another vehicle, they only sent a tow truck, and we were forced to leave with it, even though some people we met at the hotel offered to give us a lift, so we lost a whole day. Fortunately, after a bit of persistence with them, they finally compensated us properly. Avoid the restaurant! The most expensive meal we ate all week, and by far the worst, with the smallest portion... $80 Canadian for a decent salmon fillet with a few vegetables and a potato flake, accompanied by a glass of wine that was actually good. The PADI center, however, deserves a 10/10! Good price, excellent service, direct departure from the hotel, and well-maintained, high-quality equipment. Special mention to Jason, our instructor, who is so friendly and provides a truly enjoyable dive!

Les plus : Hotel très propre, piscine agréable et ferme tard, parfait pour se saucer avant d'aller s'étendre. Endroit très intime. Personnel accueillant.
Les contres : chambre de base EXTREMEMENT petite. La douche italienne coule partout hors de la douche, dans la salle de bain qui ne possède pas de drain, donc besoin de tout absorber avec les petites Serviettes après chaque douche. L'hôtel est très mal situé, ça prend un véhicule et celui louer à l'hôtel le moteur nous a lacher à l'autre bout de l'île et au lieux de nous envoyer un autre véhicule, ils nous ont seulement envoyer un towing et on était obliger de partir avec malgré que des gens rencontrer à l'hôtel nous avait offert de nous ramener donc une journée de perdu. Heureusement après un petit moment dobstinage avec eux ils ont fini par nous dédommager correctement. Le resto a éviter ! Le repas le plus cher qu'on ai manger de la semaine et de loin le moins bon et l'assiette la plus petite ... 80$ canadien pour un filet de saumon correct avec quelques légumes et une boule de patate en poudre accompagné d'un verre de vin qui lui, était bon.

Le centre PADI lui, par contre mérite un 10/10 ! Bon prix, excellent service,départ directement de l'hôtel, matériel de qualité bien entretenu. Mention spécial à Jason notre instructeur qui est tellement sympathique et offre une plongée des plus agréable !
