Allegro Cozumel

We loved our week; the staff were smiling, helpful, and genuinely friendly. The buffet was good, although the selection was limited. The sea water was warm and clear, and there were plenty of chairs, but not enough shade. The sand wasn't very fine, but we were there for diving, so it wasn't a big deal for us. Our Sunwing representative, Juan, was incredibly helpful, and thanks to him, we were able to visit Cozumel.

Nous avons adoré notre semaine, le personnel est souriant, serviable et vraiment aimable. Le buffet est bon malgré un manque de choix. L'eau de la mer chaude et claire, beaucoup de chaises mais pas assez à l'ombre. Le sable n'est pas vraiment fin mais nous y allons pour la plongée donc peu important pour nous. Notre représentant Sunwing, Juan, a été d'une grande aide et grâce à lui, on a pu visiter Cozumel.

The resort is beautiful and spotlessly clean everywhere! The rooms are small but perfectly functional; you don't need anything more. The buffet is small and repetitive, with little variety, but it's tasty. The poolside snack bar is much better. It's a shame the food doesn't live up to the beauty of the resort. We'll only return if the price is right.

Le site est magnifique, super propre partout!!! Chambre petites mais super fonctionnel pas, besoin de plus. Le buffet est petit et redondant, peu de variété mais c’est bon. Le snack de la piscine est nettement mieux.
Dommage que le côté bouffe ne reflète pas la beauté du site.
Nous y retournerons seulement si le prix est bon.

We really enjoyed our trip. Yes, the buffet is small and a bit repetitive, but we were satisfied. The Japanese and Italian restaurants were very good. The beach is large, and shade is provided only by the numerous palm trees. You have to move your chair regularly to stay in the shade all day. The hotel wasn't full, so there were chairs available all day. There was service on the beach for the bar, so no need to go get our drinks! The same service was available at the pools. There were fish right in front of the hotel, and at the end of the day, there was a lot of marine life along the dock (rays and barracudas!). My sporty partner enjoyed the beach volleyball and the pickleball court. The room was okay; the fridge wasn't very cold, and we had a problem with the air conditioning. The repairman arrived 5 minutes after we mentioned it, and it was fixed. The lobby staff was impeccable. The only downsides were that there could be a line at the bar, which made the service slow. Reservations for restaurants are between 9:30 and 11:00. There's not much outside the hotel nearby. A tourist tax is payable upon arrival and is not included in the package. We paid the government's Vistatax and were never asked for proof at the airport.

Nous avons vraiment aimé notre voyage. Oui le buffet est petit et un peu redondant mais nous y avons trouvé notre compte. Les restos japonais et italien étaient très bons.
La plage est grande et l’ombre se fait uniquement par les nombreux palmiers. Il faut bouger la chaise régulièrement pour rester à l’ombre toute la journée. L’hôtel n’était pas plein donc il y avait des chaises disponibles toute la journée. Il y avait du service sur la plage pour le bar donc pas besoin d’aller chercher nos verres! Même service aux piscines.
Présence de poissons directement devant l’hôtel, en fin de journée beaucoup de vie le long du quai (raie et barracuda!). Mon conjoint sportif a apprécié le volleyball de plage et la présence d’un terrain de pickleball.
La chambre est ok le frigo n’était pas très froid et nous avons eu un problème avec l’air climatisée, le réparateur est arrivé 5 minutes après l’avoir mentionné et c’était réglé. Personnel au lobby impeccable.
Seuls bémols : il pouvait avoir une file au bar qui rendait le service long. La réservation pour les restos entre 9:30 et 11:00. Pas grand chose à l’extérieur de l’hôtel proche. Taxe d’hébergement à payer à l’arrivée non comprise dans le forfait.
Nous avons payé la Vistatax du gouvernement et on ne nous a jamais demandé de preuve à l’aéroport.

The beach was beautiful, the staff impeccable, and the resort itself was nice. But the buffet food was, in my opinion, very ordinary; there wasn't much that was good. I felt like I was in Cuba. The à la carte restaurants were even worse. The steak was inedible, full of gristle and fat. The pasta had no taste. The tacos and fajitas—all the meat was inedible; there were bones in it. It tasted like an old carcass. The food was appalling. I wouldn't recommend it because of the food. I was very disappointed; I had high expectations, as I was staying in a 4-star resort in Mexico. For me, it's a 3-star at best.

La plage était magnifique, le personnel impeccable, le resort en tant que tel est bien.

Mais la nourriture au buffet était pour ma part très ordinaire, il n’y avait pas grand chose de bon, je me croyais à Cuba. Les restaurants à la carte, encore pire, le Steak pas mangeable, plein de nerfs et de gras. Les pâtes aucun goût. Les tacos, les fajitas, toute la viande n’était pas mangeable, il y avait des os dans la viande.
On aurait dit de la vieille carcasse. La nourriture était épouvantable.

Je ne le recommande pas par rapport à la nourriture.

J’ai été très déçu, j’avais de grandes attentes comme je me trouvais dans un 4 étoiles au Mexique.
Pour moi c’est un 3 étoiles au maximum.

An unforgettable stay thanks to a magnificent beach and extraordinary staff, always attentive to our needs. A huge thank you to Andrea, the guest services manager, who ensured everything was perfect. I particularly appreciated the large, quieter pool without a bar, as well as the live entertainment. The beach is simply paradise, and the catamaran excursion, with direct pick-up from the dock without having to go through other hotels, was a truly magical experience.

Un séjour inoubliable grâce à une plage magnifique et un personnel extraordinaire, toujours attentif à nos besoins. Un grand merci à Andrea, la directrice du service client, qui a veillé à ce que tout soit parfait. J’ai particulièrement apprécié la grande piscine, plus calme et sans bar, ainsi que les spectacles. La plage est tout simplement paradisiaque, et l’excursion en catamaran, avec prise en charge directe au quai sans détour par d’autres hôtels, a été un véritable moment de rêve.
