Barcelo Bavaro Beach

We really enjoyed our week. Here are the positive points: - The resort is beautiful, very close to the beach and stretches for 1 km including the Palace section. - There were no vendors on the beach. - The adults-only section is very peaceful. - The pool is beautiful with its lounge chairs in the water. - The buffet and à la carte restaurants are excellent; we appreciated being able to eat outside at the buffets. - The rooms were spacious, and we never ran out of bottled water. - We weren't bitten by mosquitoes in the evenings. - We could walk for long periods while still staying on the resort grounds. - It was possible to walk for a very long time on the beach. It was very clean in front of our hotel. - There were plenty of waitresses at the pool and in the lobby; it was quicker to have them serve us than to go directly to the bar. The negative points: - People can smoke almost everywhere, even in the restaurants. - The entertainment lacks enthusiasm. - There is no pool bar in the adults-only section, only in the Palace section. - We had to pay extra for several à la carte restaurants. - The staff seemed jaded.

Nous avons bien aimé notre semaine. Voici les points positifs :
- le site est magnifique, tout près de la plage et s’étend sur 1 km avec la section Palace.
- aucun vendeur ne circulait sur la plage.
- la section adulte est très paisible.
- la piscine est magnifique avec ses chaises dans l’eau.
- le buffet et les restaurants à la carte sont excellents, nous avons apprécié pouvoir manger dehors aux buffets.
- les chambres étaient spacieuses et nous n’avons jamais manqué de bouteille d’eau.
- nous n’avons pas été piqué par les moustiques le soir.
- nous pouvons marcher longtemps tout en restant sur le site.
- il était possible de marcher très longtemps sur la plage. Elle était très propre devant notre hôtel.
- Il y avait beaucoup de serveuses à la piscine et au lobby, c’était plus rapide qu’elles nous servent qu’aller directement au bar.

Les points négatifs
- les gens peuvent fumer presque partout, même aux restaurants.
- l’animation manque d’entrain.
- il n’y a pas de bar dans la piscine du côté adulte, seulement dans la section Palace.
- nous devions payer un supplément pour plusieurs restaurants à la carte.
- le personnel semble blasé.

The rooms at the Barcelo Bavaro Beach are a bit dated but clean. Excellent soundproofing. Very comfortable beds. The air conditioning wasn't working the first night, but after calling the front desk, an employee came less than thirty minutes later to fix the problem, and everything was sorted for the rest of our vacation. We will definitely be going back.

Les chambres au Barcelo Bavaro Beach sont viellissantes mais propre. Excellente insonorisation. Lits très confortable. L'air climatisé ne fonctionnait le premier soir et suite à un appel au Desk, un employé est venu moins de trente minutes plus tard pour réparer le problème et le tout a été règlé pour le reste de nos vacances. Nous allons y retourner c'est certain.

This was my 23rd stay at this hotel. We have to specify each time, as they don't keep a history. After 10 visits, guests should automatically be upgraded to Premium... unfortunately, this isn't the case. We have to explain and negotiate with them. The rooms on the beach side are in need of renovation.

C’était mon 23e séjours à cette hôtel. Nous devons leur spécifier à chaque fois, ils ne gardent pas d’historique. Auprès la 10e visites les clients devraient etre automatiquement PREMIUM.. ce n’est malheureusement pas le cas. Nous devons leur expliquer et négocier avec eux. Les chambres du côté BEACH auraient besoin de rénovation.
