Gr Solaris Lighthouse

We had a lovely stay, a mother/daughter vacation. The buffet food was satisfactory; we were always able to eat and leave the table feeling full. A buffet is a buffet, with some dry food, but at every meal there was a griddle with a chef grilling the daily special, which was a much better option. The bars were okay; I wish there had been one on the beach as mentioned in the description. The morning coffee was a disappointment. The à la carte restaurants were good. The beach is beautiful and very uncrowded. You can take a long walk there. The waves are big; personally, I loved them. The sand is soft, and there's nothing in the water—no seaweed, pebbles, or shells. The activities leave something to be desired... not much entertainment, and everything happens at the pool between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Then there's a show in the evening from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM, and after that, everyone disappears. It lacks atmosphere. If you want to relax, this is the perfect place. If you're looking for something in between, don't choose this hotel. The staff is pleasant. Some stood out for their kindness, smiles, and service, while others struggled to even say hello. The hotel is about a 25-minute walk from the center of San José del Cabo, a short stroll worth taking in the city center in the morning. Enjoy a good coffee while browsing the local artisans' wares. Alternatively, Cabo San Lucas is an hour away by bus. It's a 15-minute walk to the Chedraoui supermarket; from there, wait for the desert road bus, which runs every 30 minutes and costs 45 pesos.

Nous avons passé un beau séjour, vacance mère /fille. La nourriture au buffet était satisfaisante, nous avons toujours pu nous nourrir et sortir de table rassasiées. Un buffet reste un buffet avec de la nourriture sèche mais a tous les repas, il y avait un plancha avec un cuisinier qui faisait griller le spécial du repas donc vraiment meilleur choix. Les bars étaient ok, j'aurais aimé qu'il y en ait un a la plage comme mentionné dans la description. Le café du matin a été ma déception. Les restaurant a la carte étaient bon.

La plage est magnifique et très peu occupée. On peut y faire une longue marche. Les vagues sont grosses, personnellement, moi jai adoré. Le sable est doux et il n'y a rien dans l'eau, pas d'algue ni de cailloux ou coquillages.

Les activités laissent a désirer....peu d'animation et tout se passe a la piscine entre 11h et 13h. Ensuite il y a un spectacle le soir de 20h a 21h30 et ensuite toit le monde disparait. Il manque d'ambiance. Si vous voulez vous reposer c'est l'endroit parfait. Si vous cherchez un entre 2, ne pas opter pour cet hôtel.

Le personnel est agréable. Certain se sont démarqués par leur gentillesse, leur sourire et leur service alors que d'autres avit de la misère a dire bonjour.

L'hôtel est a environ 25 min de marche du centre de san josé del cabo, petite promenade qui mérite d'être faite dans le centre-ville en matinée, boire un bon café en regardant ce que les artisant ont a vendre. Sinon cabo san lucas se trouve a 1h en autobus. 15 minutes de marche jusqu'au super marché Chedraoui, attendre l'autobus de la route du désert qui passe au 30 min et 45 pesos.

Run-down hotel. Very ordinary food. No atmosphere. Questionable clientele. Avoid it.

Hôtel défraîchi. Nourriture très ordinaire. Aucune ambiance. Clientèle de classe douteuse. À éviter.

Overall everything went well! It is impossible to swim in the sea, it is too strong, the hotel forbids it! The administrative staff is inefficient, it takes a very long time to get our room and on top of that you have to put $300 us on your credit card as a deposit, I have never seen in an all-inclusive.

En général tout s’est bien passé! Il est impossible de se baigner dans la mer elle est trop forte, l’hôtel l’interdit! Le personnel administratif est inefficace, très long pour récupérer notre chambre et en plus vous devez mettre 300$ us sur votre carte de crédit comme depot, je n’ai jamais vu dans un tout inclus.

Formerly Barcelo and under Solaris management for 3 months. Hotel that has been downgraded. It is a 4 star. Positive, we can reserve the restaurants from dinner to the morning buffet from 7am. There is no limit, you can reserve the restaurants every night of your stay. The system is on paper and it is very fast. There are two choices of white wine and two red. Do not pay more than $1800, it is a downgraded hotel on the downward slope. There are renovations not declared on the website when booking. The lighthouse was closed (no sushi bar, lighthouse night bar closed, adult section bar and jacuzzi under repair). The service is very good once the connection is established with the server, they know our preferences. Special thanks to Orlando. The hotel is close to the center and shops. Getting around is easy. Finally, last piece of advice, do not pay more than $1800 for your stay for this downgraded hotel that needs some TLC.

Anciennement Barcelo et sous la gestion Solaris depuis 3 mois. Hôtel qui a baissé de grade. C'est un 4 étoiles. Positif, nous pouvons réserver les restaurants du souper au buffet du matin dès 7h. Il n'y a pas de limite vous pouvez réserver les restaurants à tous les soirs de votre séjour. Le système est sur papier et c'est très rapide. Il y a deux choix de vin blanc et deux de rouge. Ne pas payer plus que 1800$ c'est un hôtel déclassé sur la pente descendante. Il y a des rénovations non déclarés sur le site web lors de la réservation. Le phare était fermée (pas de sushi bar, bar de nuit du phare fermé, bar section adultes et jaccuzi en réparation. Le service est très bien une fois le lien établi avec le serveur, il connaissent nos préférences. Merci spécialement à Orlando. L'hôtel est proche du centro et des commerces. Les déplacements sont faciles. Pour terminer dernier conseil pas plus que 1800$ pour votre séjour pour cet hôtel déclassé et qui a besoin d'amour.
