The cleanliness of the grounds and rooms is excellent, as is the quality and variety of the food. The setting is beautiful, with lush gardens. Furthermore, the staff is friendly and provides excellent service. The beach is lovely and well-maintained, and the pools are superb. However, reservations at the à la carte restaurants can sometimes be difficult. Occasionally, access to the water from the beach can be rocky.

Have a good trip, but no swimming beaches.
Bon voyage mais pas de plage baignable
The beach was full of sargassum, only one à la carte restaurant was open because it was full, and the humidity in the rooms was awful (8779 super humid).

The stay was perfect. The only downside is to be careful with the free transportation included in the package to get to 5th Avenue; there's a mandatory stop at a jewelry store that uses high-pressure sales tactics.

Fantastic week at the Barcelo Maya Beach!
Superbe semaine au Barcelo Maya Beach !
Perfect week. The resort is huge, the food was very good! During our stay, the beach was nicer near the colonial/tropical section (no sargassum seaweed). Having access to all four Barceló resorts is a big plus! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel and would be tempted to return 😊
