The Premium Level packages are a trap! There are different levels, and I paid for this benefit thinking I'd have access to several extras. It turned out that wasn't the case; these extras were reserved for the other, more expensive Premium Level rooms. I was given very poor advice from the start, and once I arrived, I had no recourse. Don't pay for Premium without making sure you understand what's actually included. Otherwise, the hotel is nice, large, and clean.

More... Less...Il y a des niveaux, j'ai payé pour cet avantage croyant avoir accès à plusieurs extras. Il s'est avéré que non, ces extras était réservés aux autres chambres de niveau Premium, plus dispendieuses. J'ai été très mal conseillée à la base et une fois sur place je n'avais plus de recours.
Ne payez pas pour du Premium sans vous assurer de ce qui est vraiment inclus.
Pour le reste, l'hôtel est bien, grand et propre.

I loved the Barceló Maya Caribe for the size of the resort, the numerous pools, and the magnificent beach. However, I would have appreciated having access to all the à la carte restaurants and not being limited to four dinners. Also, at the Santa Fe, I found a small screw in my Mexican appetizer. Luckily, I didn't swallow it. The rooms were very clean but could use a little updating. Overall, it's a beautiful resort and I recommend it.
J’ai adorée le Barceló Maya Caribe pour l’ampleur du site. Les nombreuses piscines. La plage magnifique. J’aurais apprécié par contre avoir le droit à tous les restaurants à la carte et de ne pas être restreint à 4 souper. Aussi au Santa Fe, j’ai retrouvée une petite vise dans mon entrée Mexicaine. Par chance, je ne l’ai pas avalé. Les chambres étaient très propres mais auraient besoin d’un petit rafraîchissement. Somme toute c’est un beau complexe et je le recommande.

The Barcelo Maya resort is very pleasant. We had access to the entire site. It was remarkably clean. The food was excellent, especially in the restaurants. However, this resort shouldn't be chosen for its beach; it's a rocky area with a lot of seaweed. Walking on the beach is very difficult. Another negative point is the lack of entertainment, both during the day and in the evening.
Le complexe Barcelo Maya est très agréable. Nous avons accès au site au complet. Propreté remarquable . La nourriture est excellente surtout dans les restaurants. Cependant , il ne faut pas choisir ce complexe pour sa plage , zone de rochers et beaucoup d’algues . Il est très difficile de marcher sur la plage . Dans les points négatif il manque d’animation autant le jour que le soir .

The overall appearance is impeccable, including the rooms, although they are a bit dated. It's a very large resort with six hotels. It's very pleasant to walk around. The lush greenery, the Mayan decor, and the facilities are all beautiful. The beach is fantastic for seeing fish and turtles, but you'll need water shoes, especially for entering the water. The à la carte restaurants are very good. There's a lot of variety at the buffet. The pools are lovely. There's even one for swimming laps. Bowling is also available. It's always fun for families, although quite expensive.
Aspect général impeccable dont les chambres, quoique celles-ci sont vieillottes.
More... Less...Très grand resort de 6 hôtels. Très plaisant de s’y promener. C’est beau : la verdure, le décor maya et les infrastructures.
Plage extraordinaire pour voir les poissons et les tortues mais ça prend des souliers d’eau, surtout pour entrer dans l’eau.
Restaurants à la carte: très bien. Beaucoup de variété au buffet.
Les piscines sont belles. Il y en a même une destinée à faire des longueurs.
Possibilité de jouer aux quilles. En famille, c’est toujours amusant quoique très dispendieux.
