Bellevue Dominican Bay

Hotel to avoid at all costs, I was very aware that it was only a three (3) star (*) hotel, but I did not expect all these hassles. Positive: The beach is acceptable, the food at the buffet is passable, guided tour of the city of Santo Domingo is very interesting. Negative: First room not secure: our room door opened without the electronic card, just pushed on the door and it opened without resistance. Change of room, 2nd room: The bathroom is horrible, dirty shower floor, dripping shower ceiling, the pipe of the sink faucet leaks onto the floor (there is as much water flowing from the pipe on the floor as from the faucet), basically, everything is old and poorly maintained. A not very warm welcome. Smiles optional.

Hôtel à éviter à tout prix, j’étais très conscient que ce n'était qu'un hôtel de trois (3) étoiles (*), mais je ne m'attendais pas à tous ces tracas. Positif : La plage acceptable, la bouffe au buffet passable, visite guidée de la ville de Santo Domingo très intéressant. Négatif : Première chambre pas sécuritaire,: notre porte de chambre s'ouvrait sans la carte électronique, juste à poussée sur la porte et elle s'ouvrait sans résistance. Changement de chambre, 2e chambre: La salle de bain est horrible, plancher douche sale, plafond douche dégoutte, la tuyauterie du robinet du lavabo fuit sur le plancher ( il y a autant d'eau qui coule de la tuyauterie par terre que du robinet), grosso modo, tout est vétuste et mal entretenu.
Un accueil peu chaleureux. Sourires en option.

Very pleasant stay for a 3 star hotel! Good value for money Positive: Clean and comfortable room with a good size balcony...good food at the buffet, zumba and aerobics every day at the pool, warm weather, welcoming and comfortable lobby, walking distance to the city, table football, darts, tennis and ping pong! Negative: Lack of nightlife for those who want to party, we don't feel safe in the city, public beach between the hotel beach and the sea which encourages Dominicans to approach us insistently sometimes, shows are often done with the participation of tourists (couples or talent competitions...), ordinary à la carte restaurants, the staff is not the most attentive, not a destination for dancers looking for a dancer ;-)

très agréable séjour pour un 3 étoiles! Bon rapport qualité/prix Positif : chambre propre et confortable avec balcon de bonne dimension...bien mangé au buffet, zumba et aérobie à tous les jours à la piscine, chaleur au rendez-vous, lobby accueillant et confo, à distance de marche de la ville, babyfoot, dards, tennis et ping pong! Négatif : manque de night life pour ceux qui souhaitent festoyer, on ne se sent pas en sécurité dans la ville, plage publique entre la plage de l'hôtel et la mer ce qui encourage les Dominicains à nous aborder avec insistance quelques fois, les spectacles se font souvent avec la participation des touristes (compétitions de couples ou de talents...), restaurants à la carte ordinaires, le personnel n'est pas des plus attentionnés, pas une destination pour les danseuses qui cherchent un danseur;-)

Good value for money. We went to relax. Positive: Very attentive, kind and courteous staff. Negative: I had to ask to change rooms twice, the last room was OK

Qualité prix bien.Nous sommes aller pour nous reposer. Positif : Personnelles très attentionnée,gentil et courtois. Négatif : J'ai due demander a changer de chambre 2 fois,la dernière chambre était OK

great don't trust the negative comments, value for money GREAT Positive: EVERYTHING personal, vegetation, beach, sea... I've traveled all over the world, adorable, Negative: the whiners who never come out of nowhere and who whine about everything, who put a towel on their chair at 7am and who go to the pool very late... in a big complex there are idiots who think they have their own chairs, it's not by paying a $700 Montreal package that gives you the right to think you're a king and not respect other locals or not.

Positif : TOUT peronel, vegetation , plage, mer…..j ai voyager partout dans le monde , adorable, Négatif : les chialeuses qui ont jamais sortie de nul part et qui chiale sur tout, qui mettre une serviette sur leur chaise a 7hr du matin et qui vont a la piscine que tres tard….dans un gros complexe il y a des cons qui pensent avoir leur chaises personnel, c est pas en payant un forfait de montreal a 700$ qui donne le droit de se prendre pour des rois et pas respecter les autres locaux ou pas.
