The vendors are very pushy; they try to sell you all sorts of things on the beach, and others from the hotel want you to become a VIP member and are insistent that you accept. Quite an unpleasant experience.

Les vendeurs sont très achalant, ils essayent de vous vendre plein de choses sur la plage et d'autres de l'hôtel veulent que vous devenez membre privilégié et sont insistant pour que vous acceptiez . Assez désagréable comme expérience.

The resort is beautiful and well-maintained with stunning vegetation, and the beach is superb with chairs always available at any time of day. The food is very good; the three à la carte restaurants I tried were excellent. The staff is friendly and courteous. My main complaint is the room. We booked the basic room, and I'm not usually picky about that, as I'm just there to sleep. But it really lacked attention to detail: many outdated corners, broken furniture, a non-functional hairdryer, a constantly clogged toilet, and very weak water pressure in the shower. Luckily, the bed was comfortable. The entertainment team does a good job; I really enjoyed the evening shows, although they were short and quite late (9:30 pm).

Le site est magnifique et bien entretenuavec une superbe végétation, la plage superbe avec toujours des chaises disponibles pour importe l'heure. La nourriture est très bonne, les 3 restos à la carte que j'ai fait étaient excellents. Le personnel est sympathique et courtois. Mon point négatif majeur est la chambre. Nous avions pris la chambre de base, j'ai pas l'habitude d'être exigeante de ce côté, j'y viens juste pour dormir. Mais elle manquait vraiment d'amour, beaucoup de petits coins désuets, meubles brisés, séchoir fonctionne pas, cuvette se bouche sans arrêt, aucune puissance dans le jet d'eau de la douche, par chance le lit était confortable. L'équipe d'animation fait un bon boulot, beaucoup aimé les spectacles en soirée, bien qu'ils étaient de courtes durée et assez tard (21h30).

I just got back from a week at the Catalonia Bavaro Beach Golf & Casino. Overall, I loved my stay. It was my first trip to the Dominican Republic, so I'd never been harassed on a beach before, which was my biggest disappointment. Also, there was a lot of time-sharing upon arrival at the hotel; we were invited to lunch to be sold a package costing several thousand USD. Otherwise, everything else was perfect :) The entertainment team organizes lots of activities and tries to make your stay more enjoyable. The food at the buffet is excellent, and the three à la carte restaurants we tried were very good. There are good shows at the theater every night. The drinks were very good, especially the piña coladas at the beach bar and the espresso martinis at the curaçao bar 🤤👌 The beach is beautiful with lots of lovely mature palm trees. Getting into the sea is a little difficult in some places because of some rocks. For those who don't want to go to the buffet at lunchtime, there's a pizzeria and a crêperie right next to the children's pool; the pizza is really good. My room could use a refresh; the bathroom was average and the shower was so small, but otherwise everything else was really very good. I would go back, but I'd book a Privilege Suite instead of a Deluxe one next time 😜

J'arrive d'une semaine au Catalonia Bavaro beach golf & Casino. Dans l'ensemble j'ai adoré mon séjour. C'était mon premier voyage en République donc je ne m'étais jamais fait harceler sur une plage, c'est ce qui ma déplue le plus de mon voyage. Aussi beaucoup de time Sharing en arrivant a l'hôtel, ont nous invite à un déjeuner pour nous vendre une un forfait à plusieurs milliers de dollars USD.
Sinon mis à part cela, le reste étais parfait :) l'équipe d'animation font beaucoup d'activités et tente de rendre votre séjour plus agréable. La bouffe au buffet est excellent et les 3 restos à la carte que nous avons fait étaient très bien. Il y a des bon spectacles au théâtre à tous les soirs. Les drinks étaient très bon surtout les pina coladas du bar de la plage et les expresso Martini au curaçao bar 🤤👌
La plage est très belle avec beaucoup de beau palmiers mature. L'entrée à la mer est un peu plus difficile à quelques endroits à cause de certaines roches. Pour ceux qui veulent pas aller au buffet le midi, il y a une pizzeria et une crêperie juste à côté de la piscine pour enfants, la pizza est vraiment bonne. Ma chambre serait dû pour être rafraîchit, la salle de bain était moyenne et la douche tellement petite mais sinon le reste étais vraiment très bien. J'y retournerait mais je prendre une suite privilèges au lieu de deluxe 😜
