Catalonia Royal Tulum Beach And Spa

The service is excellent, the restaurants too, however, no evening buffet and only 4 restaurants makes no sense. Also, the beach should be cleaned better than it is, and not with a rake. Poor guys, it was non-stop from morning till night every day, not just an hour from the airport, but two hours with all the stops. They pick us up 5 hours before our flight… It makes no sense… The entertainment is a 2/10; the hotel is dead. There's no music in the lobby before the evening show, and no music on the beach, just one yoga class, one aqua aerobics class, and 30 minutes of entertainment at 4 pm… Would we go back? No, unfortunately, we ended up eating at two à la carte restaurants continuously after eliminating the Mexican (which was available at the buffet) and Tao Cat. The portions are tiny… The service is 100%, but that doesn't make up for everything else. Sorry for being so honest… What makes the hotel worthwhile, in my opinion, is the service and the path through the jungle leading to the beach… I hesitated between the Riu Latino and the Catalonia; the agency suggested this one. It's okay, but even though it's an adults-only hotel, adults still like music and life… The rooms are old, and the pool is nothing special.

Le service est excellent, les restaurants aussi, par contre pas de buffet le soir et seulement 4 restos ça n a pas de bon sens , également la plage devrait être mieux nettoyé que ça et pas au râteau , pauvres hommes c était du matin au soir sans arrête chaque jour, pas à 1h de l aperoport mais 2 avec tous les arrêts , ils viennent nous chercher 5 h avant le vol …. Aucun sens …. Animation 2/10 l hôtel est mort , autant dans le lobby avant le spectacle de la soirée autant qu il n y a aucune musique sur la plage , un cour de yoga , au aquaforme et 30 min d animation à 16h ….. ça t on y retourner? Non malheureusement, on s est retrouvé a faire 2 restos à la carte en continue après avoir éliminé le mexicain( on en avait dans le buffet) et le tao cat les portions sont minuscules ….. le service est à 100/100 mais ça ne compense pas pas pour le reste , désolé de l honnêteté….. ce qui vaut l hôtel à mon avis c est le service et le chemin dans la jungle menant à la plage …. J ai hésité entre le riu latino et le Catalonia, l agence m ont suggéré celui ci, c est correct , mais même si ce st un hôtel adulte , les adultes on aime quand même la musique et la vie ….les chambres sont vieilles, et la piscine n a rien qui fait woww

A wonderful discovery! The Catalonia Royal Tulum is a luxury adults-only hotel. The beach, sargassum season aside, is magnificent. The hotel, although older, is spectacularly clean and well-maintained. Even though we had a standard room, it was spotless, comfortable, and chic in a Spanish style. The room was decorated in nautical and evening styles. The restaurants are delicious, and the enchanting setting, built in the jungle, gives it a unique charm. The staff is impeccable, friendly, and always ready to help. We will definitely return.

Plage mise à part la saison des sargasses est magnifique l’hôtel bien qu’âgé est dans état spectaculairement propre et bien entretenu bien que nous avions une chambre standard elle était ultra propre confortable et chic de style espagnol . La chambre est faite marin et soir Les restaurants sont délicieux le site est enchanteur construit dans la jungle ça donne un cachet particulier Le personnel est dans reproche avenant et toujours prêt à vous aider nous y retournerons c’est certain

It was our first time at an all-inclusive resort. We weren't disappointed. We stayed for five days and everything went well. However, if we had stayed longer, the food in the evening restaurants would have been a major drawback. We're vegetarians, and there were very few options. After eating there once or twice, there was nothing new. Aside from that, which wasn't too much of a problem for us, everything else was perfect. Since it was our first time, we experienced some intense pressure to buy extra services at the beginning, but after refusing, they don't insist. Regarding excursions, I don't recommend the "free" one to visit Playa del Carmen. You'll spend four hours in an overpriced jewelry store and tequila shop for only an hour and a half in Playa del Carmen. It's better to take a colectivo (shared taxi) or use the InDrive app to get there on your own. The Rio Secreto/Tulum excursion is definitely worth it, but perhaps you could find a cheaper option on your own? As for the sea, well, there's a lot of sargassum seaweed. They're doing their best, but we only went swimming once and had to turn back because of it. It's best to go somewhere else to swim in the sea.

C'était notre première fois dans un tout inclus. Nous n'avons pas été déçus. Nous y sommes restés 5 jours et tout s'est bien passé, par contre si nous avions dû y rester plus longtemps, la nourriture dans les restaurants du soir aurait été le gros point faible. Nous sommes végétariens et il y avait très peu d'options. Après y avoir mangé une ou deux fois, il n'y avait rien de nouveau.
Mis à part ce point dont nous n'avons pas trop souffert, tout le reste était parfait.
Comme c'était notre première fois, nous avons découvert la sollicitation très intense au début pour acheter des services en plus, mais après un refus, ils n'insistent pas.
Concernant les excursions, je vous déconseille celle "gratuite" pour aller visiter Playa Del Carmen. Vous allez passer 4h dans une bijouterie et un magasin de tequila overpriced pour seulement faire 1 h 30 à Playa Del Carmen. Il vaut mieux prendre le collectivo ou bien utiliser l'application InDrive pour s'y rendre par soi-même.
L'excursion Rio Secreto/Tulum vaut définitivement la peine, mais il y a peut-être moyen de trouver moins cher par soi-même ?
Sinon pour la mer, et bien plein de sargasses, ils font leur possible mais on ne s'est baigné qu'une fois et on a fait demi-tour à cause des algues. Le mieux c'est d'aller ailleurs pour se baigner dans la mer.
