Catalonia Yucatan Beach

We would have liked to have more information from voyagearabais.com about what was available, rather than comparing it to the sister resort (Catalonia Riviera Maya) right next door. Only one of the two buffets was open, and only three of the seven restaurants were open. We had to make two restaurant reservations for seven days, the food was repetitive and limited to the buffet, and the small beach left much to be desired. The bars/drinks were good, and the staff was friendly.

Les bars/drinks sont bien et le staff est gentil.

A truly beautiful Mexican resort. I love the traditional style of the roofs and decor. The staff is very kind and helpful. The buffet is fresh and delicious. The room was a bit dated but spotlessly clean. The spa is a really lovely place, and I had two massages there: incredible! The sea is full of seaweed, and the staff works hard to remove it. This isn't the hotel's fault. You don't go there to enjoy beautiful beaches like in Cuba. The pools are lively. You have to reserve a chair very early in the morning. The gentleman (Fili) who offers excursions (at the beach kiosk) has good prices, and the three excursions I took were superb! I recommend this hotel if you appreciate authenticity and good service. I would definitely go back.

Un vrai beau complexe hôtelier du Mexique. J'aime le côté typique des toits et de la décoration. Le personnel est très gentil et serviable. Le buffet est frais et délicieux. La chambre était un peu vieillotte mais super propre. Le spa est vraiment un bel endroit et je m'y suis fait masser à deux reprises : incroyable!!
La mer est remplie d'algues et le personnel travaille fort pour les enlever. Ce n'est pas la faute de l'hôtel.
On ne va pas là pour profiter des belles plages comme à Cuba.
Les piscines sont animées. Il faut réserver une chaise très tôt le matin.
Le monsieur (Fili) qui propose des excursions (kiosque de la plage) fait de bons prix et les 3 excursions que j'ai faites étaient superbes !
Je recommande cet hôtel si vous aimez l'authenticité et le bon service. J'y retournerais sans hésiter.

We had a pleasant stay at the Catalonia Yucatán Beach. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the staff is very friendly, courteous, and always ready to help. The sports bar is a real highlight of the resort, and the atmosphere is always enjoyable. The food at the buffet is good, but it quickly becomes repetitive during a multi-day stay. The pools are clean, and there are enough lounge chairs for everyone, which is much appreciated. Our biggest disappointment, however, was the beach. It's small, the water is rather dark, and there was a lot of sargassum seaweed during our stay. Even though the staff does an excellent job of removing it daily, it still detracts from the experience. In summary, it's a clean hotel with excellent service and nice facilities. However, considering the price we paid, we expected a better quality beach. For this reason, we found the value for money somewhat disappointing.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au Catalonia Yucatán Beach. Les installations sont propres et bien entretenues, et le personnel est très aimable, courtois et toujours prêt à aider. Le bar sportif est un véritable atout du complexe et l'ambiance y est toujours agréable.

La nourriture au buffet est bonne, mais elle devient rapidement répétitive lors d'un séjour de plusieurs jours. Les piscines sont propres et il y a suffisamment de chaises pour tout le monde, ce qui est très appréciable.

Notre plus grande déception a toutefois été la plage. Elle est petite, l'eau est plutôt foncée et il y avait beaucoup de sargasses durant notre séjour. Même si le personnel fait un excellent travail en les ramassant chaque jour, cela nuit tout de même à l'expérience.

En résumé, c'est un hôtel propre avec un excellent service et de belles installations. Cependant, compte tenu du prix que nous avons payé, nous nous attendions à une plage de meilleure qualité. Pour cette raison, nous trouvons que le rapport qualité-prix est un peu décevant.

We were three sisters and we absolutely loved our stay; we would have loved to stay another week! The food was excellent, the evening entertainment and shows were fantastic, the renovated room was great, and the staff was welcoming—we loved everything! There's a lovely little beach, well-maintained and cleared of sargassum seaweed, with rentals for snorkeling. Plus, you can easily walk around the area and go see the dolphins for free. The only downsides were the poorly soundproofed room door and the leaky shower. We would definitely go back!

Nous étions 3 sœurs et on a adoré notre séjour, on serait même restées une semaine de plus! Nourriture excellente, animation et spectacles en soirée géniale, chambre rénovée super, personnel accueillant, on a tout aimé! Belle petite plage entretenue et nettoyée des sargasses avec location pour faire de la plongée en apnée. En plus, on peut aisément se promener aux alentours et aller voir les dauphins sans frais. Seul point négatif est la porte de chambre mal insonorisée et la douche qui fuie. On y retournerait sans hésiter!
