Royalton Chic Punta Cana

We had a wonderful week at this resort. The staff are incredibly attentive and the setting is magnificent.

A lovely week with a great staff. The hotel is older but very clean. Note that the à la carte restaurants aren't great; we ended up eating at the buffet most of the time. The portions at the à la carte restaurants are small. The only one I would recommend is the sushi restaurant, which isn't a buffet (lunch, dinner, and dinner). The entertainment team was amazing. The hotel is a bit older and could use some TLC.

Never a 5-star place, I wouldn't give more than 3.5 stars, and that's very generous. Everything is described in detail. The buffet is cold, and what should be very cold is actually warm, like the meats, deli meats, and cheese. Low-quality buffet, yuck!

The staff were courteous, but the à la carte restaurants were difficult to reach as they were often closed and offered limited choices. The buffet was very repetitive at both lunch and dinner, with very few options. The room was small, and the bathroom was cramped. The refrigerator wasn't very functional. The beach was very small.

Personnel courtois mais les restaurants a la cartes sont difficilement joignable car souvent fermé et peu de choix. Le buffet très répétitif midi et soir très peu de choix.
Chambre petite et salle de bain avec peu d'espace.
Frigo pas très fonctionnelle. Plage très petite.

The basic rooms are small rooms in a renovated older building. The hallways are very echoey, making the rooms noisy. The bathroom is small with very little privacy; there's no door, just a small, semi-frosted glass door at shower height for the toilet. The shower head is broken, and the patio door is very difficult to open. The buffet is not what you'd expect from a 4.5-star establishment, and the service there is very basic. The à la carte restaurants are generally good, as is the service. For restaurant reservations, go to reception because the app has very limited availability. For the price, I'm disappointed with the hotel and I don't recommend it.

Les chambres de base sont des petite chambre d'ancien bâtiment rénové. Les couloires sont très écho se qui rend les chambres bruyante. Salle de bain petite avec très peux d'intimité, pas de porte petite porte vitré semi givré a hauteur de porte de douche pour la toilette. Pomme de douche brisé et porte patio très difficile a ouvrir. Le buffet n'est pas digne d'un établissement 4.5 étoiles et le service est très ordinaire au buffet. Les restaurant a la carte sont bien en général ainsi que le service. Pour les réservations aux restaurant aller a la réception car l'application a très peux de disponibilité. Pour le prix je suis déçu de l'hôtel, je ne la recommande pas.
