This small beachfront resort is located in Cienfuegos, 95 km from the airport of the same name. The hotel has 279 rooms, 5 restaurants, and a large swimming pool. It is just 15 minutes from the city of Trinidad. Those with a thirst for exploration will enjoy taking the time to discover the cultural attractions of this beautiful colonial city. Beach lovers will be delighted by Club Amigo Ancon, which offers the opportunity to admire magnificent sunsets directly on the sand.
The beautiful, clean, and calm beach is very popular for swimming and walking. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful, providing good overall service. The hotel's cleanliness is frequently praised. Furthermore, its proximity to Trinidad and its good value for money are definite advantages. However, the buffet is sometimes considered repetitive and lacking in variety, with food occasionally lukewarm or cold, and some items may be missing from the stock.

The hotel is partially closed for possible renovations…
Hôtel fermé en partie pour rénovations éventuelles…
Nice place but not luxurious, decent if you know that and want a beautiful beach.

rooms with mold
chambres avec moisissures
We really had to insist and make a scene to get a room change upon arrival: mold on the ceiling, unsanitary room. The second room wasn't much better. We were exhausted. The woman who opened our room told us we'd see the ocean, what a beautiful view (it was dark). The next day, when we opened the curtains, it was so ridiculous I laughed: a view of a large field. We learned the following day that other people had requested and received a hotel transfer, which we did. We were told it was impossible and that there were no other rooms available either. What a load of lies! After making a scene again, while remaining very respectful, the front desk went to get the manager, Patricia: truly wonderful. Suddenly, they got us a room with a beach view, practically begging us to stay. Third room: slightly better, but the mold on the ceiling was at least sealed with paint, the patio door curtain was ripped, and the bathroom door wouldn't close...it was dilapidated, but we decided to stay anyway. We were lied to the whole time: with misleading photos on the website (rooms in the hotel block that's completely closed off), and at the front desk, being told that the first room was the only one available, and that the block where everyone was staying was the newly renovated section. Please don't go there. Zero stars. I've never seen anything like it, and I've traveled all over the world.
On étaient épuisés.
More...
