For a successful family vacation, choose the brand new Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana Resort & Spa. This new hotel features a water park, a lazy river, luxurious suites, and villas for a fun-filled stay!
The hotel is highly regarded for its luxurious setting and overall satisfying experience. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, and the cleanliness of the establishment is impeccable. The staff is praised for its excellence and professionalism. Furthermore, the food is varied and of high quality, and the beach is considered beautiful and well-maintained. However, it is sometimes noted that the waves on the beach can be strong, occasionally making swimming difficult, and that seaweed may be present.

Superb hotel, we all recommend it!
Superbe hôtel, nous recommandons tous!
Very nice hotel. Helpful, warm, and professional staff. We LOVED our family experience. Beautiful beach, but the waves are strong; very little seaweed on the beach. I highly recommend it.

As a couple: relaxation is the goal! Beautiful beach, good service overall, lovely resort, but a few minor annoyances.
We stayed there for 7 days. Swim-out privilege room, block #4. Room: Clean. Comfortable. As the days went by, housekeeping became increasingly delayed. But it was done well. For the last 3 days, the room was cleaned between 3 and 4 pm. At 5:15 pm, the evening housekeeper was knocking to prepare for the night. There was no consistency in replenishing items like washcloths or the minibar. There didn't seem to be a standard restocking schedule. You get chips and M&Ms on arrival. You won't get any more after that. On departure, we left our cell phone chargers in the room. 20 minutes later, we went back and had the door opened: the chargers had vanished and no one had seen them. Yet, the valet came by and a maintenance worker was applying sealant in the bathroom. So, at least two people could have taken these items. Due to its location, the room was directly overlooking the public square, and the music festival was blaring, with weddings, bar entertainment, and lobby shows. Early bedtime was impossible despite the traffic. Loud music until 10:00 AM Quebec time. Swim out. The pool always had a lot of dead leaves at the bottom. But the temperature was pleasant. The resort is stunning. Well-suited for young families and people with reduced mobility. Everything is close by. This is the downside, since everything happens outdoors and the music competes with each other, especially in the evening, as mentioned earlier. The staff is fantastic. Polite, efficient, and attentive. If you need something or have a problem in your room, they respond in a flash. In less than 15 minutes, the repairs to our door were done. Wow! The privilege section on the beach offered incredible service from Willy Wonka and Francesca. The little cold washcloths with eucalyptus oil, the lunch box delivered to your chair—simply amazing. A 3.5 km beach with magnificent waves. A little seaweed, but swimmable. Surfers and kiteboarders will love it. It's a beautiful place with stunning scenery. A whirlwind of weddings. Wow! Not one was the same. It really seems to be a specialty. A festival of young families everywhere. The staff were very attentive to families. From the outside, it looked perfect. Basically, for the two of us, the lively evenings with such a high level of cacophonous decibels didn't suit our needs. The theft of our luggage upon departure put us off returning. But I repeat, it's a very beautiful resort, with good service, in a sublime location. It all depends on what you need. For us, it was a desperate need for complete rest.
Nous y avons séjourné 7jours.

Chambre : Propre. Confortable.
Swim out.

Comfortable Luxury with Excellent Service
Comfortable Luxury with Excellent Service
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ TripAdvisor Review — Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana
We’re an older couple traveling without children, and we come to all-inclusive resorts for one thing: quiet relaxation. We spend our days reading in the privacy of a swim-out pool, so our review focuses on the room, food, service, and overall atmosphere—not entertainment, nightlife, or the beach.
We stayed in a Preferred Master Swim-Out Suite, and it was excellent. The room was large, spotless, very comfortable, and—importantly for a swim-out—there was no musty smell at all. The private pool was exactly that: private and perfect for reading. The only downside was the room’s location right beside the main pools, which meant loud party music on a constant loop every afternoon. That said, the room’s soundproofing was very good, and even with the music outside, our afternoon naps were never interrupted.
Food and drinks were fine, and the presentation was consistently very good.
• The Japanese restaurant was easily our favourite.
• The French restaurant was also very good.
• The only real miss was the Italian restaurant, where both the food quality and the very noisy atmosphere were disappointing. The night we visited, the staff seemed to be dealing with some sort of internal issue, which added to the chaos. When we decided to leave and go to the buffet instead, the maître d’ chased us down and tried to convince us to return, which felt a bit odd.
Service throughout the resort was excellent. Staff were friendly, warm, and attentive. The butler service was the best we’ve experienced anywhere—helpful without hovering, which we appreciated as low-maintenance guests.
A few mosquitos here and there, but nothing unusual for the tropics and never a real issue.
The only real negative was the aggressive timeshare pitch at check-in. In the Preferred Lounge, staff who appeared to be part of the check-in team took our passports and had us sign multiple forms to receive “vouchers,” which turned out to be a timeshare presentation setup. We were tired after traveling and didn’t catch on right away.
I’ve said this before in my reviews, and it applies here as well: I don’t understand the marketing strategy behind the paid wine lists. The prices are extremely high for the bottles on offer, far beyond what makes sense even with typical resort markups. The house wine is fine but nothing special for anyone who enjoys wine. The markup on the paid list is enormous, to the point of being completely out of step with the wine’s actual value.
Overall we had an excellent stay: great specialty dining (especially Japanese), superb butler service, a quiet and comfortable room, and the private, relaxing environment we look for.

Alright
Très bien
It's impossible to exchange Canadian and US dollars for pesos at the hotel; you have to use an ATM. It's not a problem, but the machine only dispenses 1000 pesos, and it's not possible to exchange those 1000 pesos for smaller bills at the hotel counter unless you're lucky and get a waiter. A major drawback.
