Escape to the seaside at the Family Club at Grand Riviera Princess All Suites and Spa Resort for a luxurious family vacation. Located in Playa Del Carmen, this tropical paradise boasts 12 pools, including 4 children's pools and a themed pool with water slides.
Guests particularly appreciate the quality and variety of the food, including both buffets and à la carte restaurants. The Family Club experience is also highly valued, with facilities tailored for children. Furthermore, the quality of service and the attentiveness of the staff are frequently highlighted, contributing to a pleasant stay. The resort is perceived as beautiful and well-maintained, with lush vegetation and numerous swimming pools. However, the beach is sometimes considered disappointing due to seaweed and rocks, occasionally making swimming difficult.

Alright
Très bien
The bars at the beach and the main pool leave foreigners waiting for a very long time. They prefer to serve Mexicans before foreigners even if they arrived later than us. And it was always like that even with the tip: Mexicans first! Too bad.
Domage.

Beautiful resort.
Beau resort.
The Grand Family Club at Riviera Princess is very good. We had a swim-out room. Very convenient with children. Access to the Grand Riviera Princess. The resort is long, so you have to walk a lot, but there are shuttles for getting around. The buffet is okay, nothing exceptional. However, what's worth a visit is the snack bar at the beach. Delicious. The beach was not accessible due to seaweed.

Not a 5 Star but Enjoyed Ourselves
Not a 5 Star but Enjoyed Ourselves
Husband and I went with our three children (4 years, 2 years, 5 months). We wanted something family friendly and decided on the Family Club. To be honest we didn’t explore too much outside of the Family Club because the trip was so centred around our kids and the beach was covered in seaweed due to the season. The kids pool was nice but did not have much shade. We swam with our kids in our swim out. The kids enjoyed it. A waitress came by to take drink orders regularly so no need to venture too far. Also half the resort was under construction. Sound didn’t bother us where we were.
The kids buffet was wonderful for the little ones but not very many options for adults. We did eat at the buffet in the main building often. It always had options and the foods varied depending on the theme of food served. Staff were friendly. I took some time to enjoy a spa service (Princess Experience) which was lovely.
My biggest issue was the cleanliness of the rooms. The room had a jacuzzi tub but the jets looked so encrusted with dirt we didn’t bother using it. There were all kinds of moths in the room (I understand it is a tropical country there will be bugs). There was a sewage smell that emanated from the shower toilet area particularly in the mornings. The room smelled very musty. Housekeeping came daily and kept the room liveable. It felt that cleaning that was done was only the bare minimum.
We are pretty easy going and make the most of any situation. Our kids had a great time therefore we did too.

Very nice family vacation
Très belles vacances en famille
The family club was really great. It's perfect for families! The water games for children are very good. The resort itself is very large but it's nice to walk around because it's very beautiful! The only negative points are that my son and I were very sick (vomiting +++), we think it was food poisoning but it's hard to say. I had to get an injection from a doctor on site to stop the vomiting. Very good service from the doctor. And... Sunwing... We had very big problems with them, we had to take taxis at our own expense for transfers (among other things). A big zero for that. Hoping to be able to receive reimbursements for these problems.

A dream week with the children
Une semaine de rêve avec les enfants
From January 29 to February 5, 2025🌞 We just returned from this beautiful hotel with our 3 children (4 months, 6 years and 10 years). We loved it! The hotel includes 2 in 1 in addition to a family section. There is the Sunset Princess & Grand Riviera Princess including the Family Club Riviera Princess. Having children, we booked the Family Club💜. The hotel is huge but is a good walk from the lobby to the beach. Also a shuttle service (small kart) is available which runs regularly. We never took it🤷♀️😅 we loved walking through the hotel, its beautiful vegetation and its animals. ⛔️Negative point👇 🌴 Beach (in the water): The beach itself is beautiful, quite wide with several palapas & palm trees. However, once ready to enter the water, the sand is full of rocks. It hurts your feet and even in the water a little further out it's rocky and unpleasant. It cuts suddenly into the water. Places with a lot of seaweed too but that's nature🤷♀️. ✅️Everything else is positive 👇 🤵♂️Service: Impeccable. From the waiters, to the chambermaids, to the bartenders. All the workers are friendly and attentive. The service is fast. 🍝A la carte restaurants: Delicious! Having allergies to fish and seafood, we avoided Asian restaurants but there are several. We ate at the Steakhouse, Italian & Mexican. The a la carte restaurants are unlimited. You reserve them yourself via the app 2 days in advance. Everything was wonderfully good. 🍽Buffets: Well filled and delicious. The pirate one (family club section only) is great for kids with entertainment and a little more childish food (fried foods, burgers, fries, pizza, candy, marshmallows). The buffet offers a lot of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 🍦Dairy (family club section only): retro style with several choices of ice creams, milkshakes and coffee. Excellent! 🛏Rooms: For families, they are great! A bunk bed with 3 beds, a bassinet for our 4-month-old mini and a king size bed for the parents. The bathroom has a separate bath, shower and toilet. A bath is wonderful with a baby 😁 Each child received a pirate stuffed animal in their bed. Sand toys and a bath kit (soap and fish-shaped washcloth) awaited our children in the bathroom. Clean and very large room. Possibility of swimout for those who are on the ground floor. Mini fridge always well stocked. 🌊Pools: There are many in addition to the one for toddlers with slides and water games. Lots of entertainment and activities for young children but also for adults. 🎭Shows: Mini disco for children and perfect night shows! Varied shows of all kinds. It's a change from what we've seen before in other resorts/countries. 🐒Animals: You will see all kinds of species at the resort. Cats, iguanas, coatis and even deer. They are used to humans and are part of the scenery. If you are not going to Mexico just to be 100% beach, I highly recommend it, especially with young children. 👨👩👦👦Family club offers a separate section, activities and places for children. Stroller rental on site. A reception area separate from the main lobby and exceptional service for families. Have a great trip✈️🌞
Du 29 janvier au 5 février 2025🌞
More...
Bon voyage✈️🌞
