To visit Havana is to experience the real Cuba! Come on, step out of your all-inclusive hotel and take a stroll through this fascinating city where yesterday and today's history blend perfectly. A true open-air museum, Havana is the cradle of Cuban rhythmic music. You will come back home completely charmed by this colonial city which is, by the way, the country's capital.

A good 4 stars by the standards of Cuba located in Miramar. Positive: Located in the plush embassy district, this hotel offers large rooms with balcony (no chairs), bathroom with bath and separate shower. It's clean, comfortable bed and a large swimming pool invites you to cool off. There are shuttle buses four times a day depart from the hotel to reach the old town. A return taxi costs 10 CUC. The staff is very nice. Negative: As is often the case in Cuba, the hotel lacks maintenance and would need to be refreshed. Avoid hotel restaurants and prefer small Amelia restaurant across the street (we eat for 10 CUC for 2 people ... A mohito costs 2 CUC and it's better than the hotel) or go to the Italian restaurant the Melia Habana.
