We had booked this hotel for our honeymoon. When we got to the room, it smelled damp, the toilet wasn't working properly, and there was mold around the shower tub. So we decided to leave and go to the Ambar. I had already stayed at the Grand Bávaro a few years ago, and the facilities have deteriorated considerably. Several blocks are under renovation, so it's very noisy. We will not be returning to the Grand Bávaro.

Nous avions réservé à cet hôtel pour notre lune de miel. Arriver à la chambre, ça sentait l’humidité, la toilette ne fonctionnait pas bien, il y avait de la moisissure autour du bain douche.
Nous avons donc décidé de quitter pour aller au Ambar.
J’avais déjà été au Grand Bávaro il y a quelques années et les installations se sont grandement détériorées. Plusieurs blocs en rénovation, donc beaucoup de bruit. Nous ne retournerons pas au Grand Bávaro.

A big plus for the location with its lush gardens, magnificent beach, cleanliness and friendly and smiling hotel staff. Needs refreshing everywhere including in the rooms (electrical outlets, safe, air conditioning, etc.) What we missed the most is a restaurant for breakfast on the edge of the beach or at least not only inside the huge and unique room of the evening buffet. A plus that would not be expensive for the hotel, a real coffee bar with real espresso machines and not just automatic machines whose coffee is more than ordinary. Overall nice place.

Un gros plus pour l’emplacement avec ses jardins luxuriants, plage magnifique ,la propreté et le personnel de l’hôtel avenant et souriant. Besoin de rafraîchissement un peu partout dont dans les chambres ( prises électriques, coffre-fort, clim, ) Ce qui nous a manqué le plus est un restaurant pour les petits déjeuners sur le bord de la plage ou du moins pas uniquement à l’intérieur de l’immense et unique salle du buffet du soir . Un plus qui ne ne serait pas dispendieux pour l’hôtel, un vrai bar à café avec de vrais cafetières expresso et non seulement des machines automatiques dont le café est plus qu’ ordinaire . Globalement bel endroit.

Great hotel, just the air conditioning in the room wasn't very cold and the buffet didn't have much meat but the rest was really good. I recommend this hotel, the staff is really cool ☺️
