Very little entertainment or activities on site. Redundant lunch buffet. Renovations at the pool bar meant that the pool was more or less clean. However, we wanted to go to Samana, to this specific hotel, and we still enjoyed our experience. The all-inclusive formula needs to be reinstated because it is complicated and unpleasant to charge for everything we consume.
Très peu d’animation ou activités sur place. Buffet du déjeuner redondant. Des travaux au bar de la piscine ont fait en sorte que celle ci était plus ou moins propre. Par contre, nous voulions aller à Samana, à cet hôtel précis et nous avons aimé malgré tout notre expérience. La formule tout inclus doit être remise en place car compliqué et désagréable de facturer toutes nos consommations.

Overall, I consider my stay very good. The food is excellent at the buffet and in the restaurants. The staff is super friendly. The room was very clean. The only negative point is the pool, which is small and not clean. There were a lot of jellyfish at the beach, which made swimming less enjoyable. But this is nature and there is nothing we can do about it.

The hotel is very well located, more beautiful than any photo I've seen. The site is very very clean and the food impeccable! The entertainment team is fantastic, thank you to José Daniel for being so dedicated and having a contagious smile. We had outstanding service. All the staff are attentive. Samana is a province that claims to be cool... well it's confirmed and it's exactly what I wanted for a vacation. We feel privileged to be here. Thank you to all the hotel staff, it was an unforgettable experience.
L'hôtel est très bien situé, plus beau que n'importe quelle photo que j'ai vue. Le site est très très propre et la nourriture impeccable !

Many improvements to be expected

First of all, the service at the buffet needs to be improved. We sometimes have to wait 20 minutes for water or other drinks. The waiters take the order and forget it. We have to ask another person again. The waiters are poorly organized; they sometimes serve 1 table but don't have the reflex to clear the tables around them. We have to constantly call them when they are there!!! The main pool is dirty and cloudy. The filters don't work. The birds that nest on the roof of the bar make droppings on the bar counters, and that doesn't bother the waiters! There are lots of droppings in the pool that no one picks up, even though a quick scoop at lunchtime while customers are dining would be a solution. Even if the real solution would be to repair the filters, in addition to the tiles in the pool that are missing! The rooms are outdated and smell strongly of damp, the bathtub was in poor condition! The service at the lobby bar was pretty bad, we had the impression that it was only for the Spanish, you have to pay for the Baileys, too bad! The entertainment is too present, especially at the pool, we don't need loud music all day, we also come to relax!!!! In short, this hotel needs to be renovated and they should add staff, especially at the buffet. We will not be coming back and we will not recommend it to our friends. We are regulars at the Grand Bahia and this is the worst to date!
Tout d'abord le service au buffet et à améliorer, nous devons parfois attendre 20 minutes pour avoir de l'eau ou autre boisson, les serveurs prennent la commande et oubli, il faut redemander à une autre personne, les serveur sont mal organisés ils servent parfois 1 table mais n'ont pas le réflexe de faires les tables autour, il faut constamment les appeler , quand ils sont là !!!
More... Less...La piscine principale est sale et trouble , les filtreurs ne fonctionnent pas, les oiseaux qui nichent sur le toit du bar font des crottes sur le comptoirs du bar , et cela ne choque pas les serveurs!
Plein de crotes dans la piscine que personnes ne ramasse alors qu'un coup d'epuisette sur l'heure du midi pendant que les clients dinnent seraient une solution , même si la vrai solution serait de réparer les filtreurs, en plus des carreux dans la piscine manquand!
Les chambres sont desuets et sententent fort l'humidité, la baignoire était en mauvais état !
Le service au bar du lobby etait assez mauvais nous avions l'impression qu'il n'y en avait que pour les espagnol, il faut payer pour le baileys dommage!
L'animation est trop présente surtout sur la piscine, nous n'avons pas besoin de musique forte toute la journée nous venons aussi pour se reposer!!!!
Bref, cet hotel est à renover et il faudrait ajouter du personnel surtout au buffet.
Nous ne reviendront pas et nous ne le conseillerons pas à nos amis .nous sommes des Habitué des Grand bahia et c'est le pire à date!
