Bahia Principe Explore Coba

A very nice hotel, spotlessly clean, and the food is excellent! It's very spacious with beautiful grounds. The shuttle service is very efficient. This isn't my first time at this hotel, but there's one small drawback now: you have to pay extra to access the other facilities at the Grand Bahia (pool, bar, buffet, snack bar). Without paying extra, you can only make reservations at the restaurants on the other properties.

Très grand! Belle végétation. Le service des navettes pour se déplacer est très efficace.
Ce n'est pas la première fois que je vais a cet hôtel, petit bémol maintenant considérant qu'on doit payer pour avoir accès aux autres complexes du Grand Bahia ( piscine, bar, buffet, snack bar). Sans payer d'avantage, vous aurez seulement accès à la réservation des restaurants sur les autres sites.

The site is surrounded by vegetation and animals. The beach is superb, long, and perfect for long walks with remarkable views. The buffet is excellent, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The shows are fantastic. I have nothing but positive things to say about my stay. I highly recommend it.

A wonderful week at Explore Coba. The resort is incredibly clean, as are the rooms. It's not a renovated hotel, but it has everything you need. The buffet is very good, and contrary to some reviews, I found there was a good variety. The Portofino à la carte restaurant is excellent, and the Mikado is very good. The staff is super friendly, and the evening entertainment is very good. We had a free tour with a sun lounger to a jewelry store and Playa del Carmen. I would avoid this place, as we were hassled all day trying to sell us things. At the hotel, we had a wristband for the last two days at the other resorts: Bahia Principe. Tulum and Akumal were just wow for the buffets. The only downside to the Coba is that the beach is about a 10-minute walk away and is rocky with sargassum seaweed.

Très belle semaine au explore Coba. Le resort est d'une propreté incroyable, tout comme les chambres. Ce n'est pas un hotel rénové mais tu as tout ce que tu as de besoin. Le buffet est très bon et contrairement à certains avis, je trouvais qu'il y avait de la variété. Le resto à la carte portofino est excellent, le mikado três bon. Le staff est super gentil et l'entertainement en soirée est très bien. Nous avions un tour gratuit avec transat dans une bijouterie et playa del carmen. À éviter selon moi car nous nous sommes faits achalés toute la journée pour des achats. À l'hotel, nous avions un bracelet pour les deux dernières journées pour les autrea bahia principe. Le tulum et akumal juste woww pour les buffets. Seule chose du coba, la plage est à environ 10 minutes de marche et elle est rocheuse avec des sargasses

The staff was very friendly, the resort was beautiful and very clean, but there was a lack of staff at the pool bar and especially on the beach from 10 am to 2 am. The beach is small and rocky, but calm and the water is clear in the morning. There was seaweed one or two mornings, but it was cleared up in record time – well done! There were lots of fish, which the children enjoyed. A small place to eat dinner on the beach would be a welcome addition, as there aren't many trains running. There's a small buffet next to the pool, but not much besides pizza. I've visited several Bahia resorts in the Dominican Republic, and this one in Tulum is the lowest-rated in my opinion; I expected more from Mexico. I won't be returning.

Personnel très sympathique, très beau site, très propre, manque de personnel au bar de la piscine et surtout à la plage de 10 hrs à 2 hrs. Plage petite et rocailleuse mais calme et eau claire le matin. Algue un ou deux matins mais ramassé en un temps record, Bravo. Beaucoup de poissons que les enfants ont appréciés. Manquerais une petite place pour diner à la plage parce que pas beaucoup de train pour le trajet.
Petit buffet à coté de la piscine mais pas grand chose à part de la pizza. J'ai visité plusieurs Bahia en république et pour moi celui-ci à Tulum est le moins coté pour moi , je m'attendais à plus pour le Mexique . Je n'y retournerai pas.

Negative points: - Small beach; - Very long check-in (even though we completed it online); - Several guests were unable to dine at an à la carte restaurant (you must book online at least 10 days before arrival); - Also, they never have change at reception, so bring small bills; - From 4 pm onwards, the beach attendant starts collecting and replacing the chairs, so please keep an eye on your towels and belongings; - As there are very few trash cans on the property, people leave litter everywhere. Positive points: - Beautiful pools; - Buffet generally good (despite the lack of fruit); - Most of the staff are friendly; - For the à la carte restaurants: Japanese (excellent), Le Gourmet (excellent), Mexican (very good), Italian (good); The evening shows are generally good.

Points négatifs : - Petite plage; - Check inn très long (malgré que nous l'avions complété en ligne); - Plusieurs n'ont pas pu aller manger dans un resto à la carte (il faut le faire au moins 10 jours avant votre arrivée en ligne); - Aussi, ils n'ont jamais de change à l'accueil, donc apportez vous de petites coupures; - Dès 16h, le gars de la plage commence à ramasser et à replacer les chaises, donc veuillez surveiller vos serviettes et vos effets personnels; - Comme il y a très peu de poubelles sur le site, les gens laissent les déchets un peu partout.

Points positifs : - De belles piscines; - Buffet en général bien (malgré le manque de fruits); - La majorité du personnel sont gentils; - Pour les restaurants à la carte : Japonais (excellent), Le Gourmet (excellent), Le Mexicain (très bien), L'Italien (bien); Les spectacles en soirée sont généralement bons.
