The hotel is well located on a beautiful, quiet, waveless beach, ideal for children. Coral reefs are nearby, perfect for seeing beautiful fish. There's a long walk on both sides of the beach in a stunning natural setting. The buffet is excellent with a very wide selection. The Brazilian and French restaurants are not to be missed. The rooms are small and dated but very clean. The evening entertainment could be improved. Overall, a wonderful holiday. We would definitely return.

Hôtel bien situé sur une belle plage tranquille sans vagues, idéale pour les enfants. Coraux à proximité pour voir de beaux poissons. Longue marche des deux cotés de la plage dans un décor naturel et magnifique. Buffet excellent avec un très grand choix. Restaurants Le Bresilien et le Français à ne pas manquer. Chambres petites et vieillottes mais très propres. Spectacles en soirée à améliorer.
En tout, de très belles vacances. Nous y retournerions sans hésiter.

Honest review of this hotel. During our visit, the hotel was at full capacity, so check-in was difficult (Air Canada and WestJet arrive at the same time on Sundays). It was so crowded that there were no more wristbands for children when it was our turn. The rooms are dated, but clean (we were on the third floor of block 24 - junior suites). The air conditioning works, but if you expect to be cold in the rooms, you'll be disappointed (for us, it was perfect). These are the minor drawbacks to be aware of before booking, to avoid disappointment. The hotel is magnificent, the grounds are beautiful, and the vegetation is lush and varied. I have never seen such a clean place (both in the common areas and the bathrooms, where there was always someone cleaning). The staff are very friendly for the most part, and they speak Spanish or English. The sports bar is really great, honestly; it's a place we frequented a lot with our kids (11 and 13 years old). The à la carte restaurants are good; we liked Portofino (Italian) and Boavista (Brazilian—the ocean view at sunset around 6:30 pm is simply stunning). The buffet is good too, with a decent variety and always something to eat. The fruit is delicious. The beach is just WOW! We traveled the first week of July and there was no sargassum seaweed, the water was clear, there was lots of coral, and therefore beautiful little fish to observe. The beach is long and wide. We arrived every morning around 7 am to get a shady spot on the beach, where we spent all our days (finding a shady spot can be difficult after 8 or 8:30 am, and you can't leave your belongings on chairs before 8 am without being there: security will remove them to allow others to enjoy the beach). We had a wonderful week as a family :)

Avis honnête de cet hôtel. Lors de notre visite, l'hôtel était à pleine capacité, donc faire le check-in a été ardu (Air Canada et Westjet arrivent en même temps les dimanches). Il y avait tellement de monde qu'il n'y avait plus de bracelets pour les enfants rendus à notre tour. Les chambres sont vieillottes, mais propres (étions au troisième étage du bloc 24 - suites juniors). L'air climatisé fonctionne, mais si vous vous attendez à avoir froid dans les chambres, vous serez déçus (pour nous c'était parfait). Ce sont donc ici les petits bémols à connaitre avant de booker, pour éviter d'être déçus.

L'hôtel est magnifique, le site est beau, la végétation est dense et variée. Je n'ai jamais vu un site aussi propre (autant dans les aires communes que les salles de bain où il y avait toujours quelqu'un en train de nettoyer). Les employés sont fort sympathiques pour la plupart, ils parlent en espagnol ou en anglais. Le bar sportif est vraiment chouette honnêtement, c'est un endroit que nous avons beaucoup fréquenté avec nos enfants (11 et 13 ans).

Les restos à la carte sont bons, nous avons aimé le Portofino (italien) et le Boavista (brésilien - la vue de l'océan au coucher du soleil vers 18h30 est juste splendide). Le buffet est bon également, quand même de la variété, toujours quelque chose à se mettre sous la dent. Les fruits sont délicieux.

La plage est juste WOW! Nous avons voyagé la première semaine de juillet et aucune sargasse, eau claire, beaucoup de coraux dans l'eau et donc de beaux petits poissons à observer. La plage est longue et large. Nous arrivions tous les matins vers 7h pour avoir une place à l'ombre à la plage, où nous passions toutes nos journées (trouver une place à l'ombre peut être difficile passé 8h-8h30 et vous ne pouvez pas laisser vos effets sur des chaises avant 8h le matin sans être présents: la sécurité viendra enlever vos choses pour permettre aux gens présents de profiter de la plage).

Nous avons eu une superbe semaine en famille :)

Beautiful grounds. The mature vegetation is magnificent. Superb beach. Very good food, very clean, and the staff is friendly. Areas for improvement: the rooms are dated and the air conditioning is inadequate; we had to change rooms because it was clearly insufficient. Although the food is very good, the buffet is small and repetitive. There are cats on the property, but they are not fed properly as in other hotels. They are thin, and it's sad to see. It's hard to understand since they are spayed/neutered, and therefore the staff takes care of them, but only partially. We recommend not feeding them the food from the buffet. We brought cat food with us, and they came running as soon as they heard the bag of food.

Tres beau site. Végétation mature c’est magnifique. Superbe plage. Très bonne nourriture, très propre et le personnel est gentil. Point à améliorer: les chambres vieillotte et la climatisation: nous avons dû changer de chambre car la climatisation était nettement insuffisante. Bien que la nourriture soit très bonne, le buffet est petit est redondant. Il y a des chats sur le site mais ils ne sont pas nourrit comme le font d’autres hôtel. Ils sont maigre et c’est triste à voir. Difficile à comprendre puisqu’il sont stérilisé et donc on le ressort s’en occupe mais que partiellement. On recommande de ne pas les nourrir avec la nourriture du buffet. On avait apporté avec nous de la nourriture pour chat et il accourait sitôt qu’ils entendait le sac de nourriture.

A very popular hotel, so it was completely full, but despite that, it was very nice and we didn't feel crowded (except at the very noisy buffet). The beach was magnificent, the pool quite large, the service was good, the staff welcoming and smiling, the à la carte restaurants were good, especially Boavista on the beach, and the bar and entertainment were fantastic. A wonderful family trip that everyone enjoyed, regardless of age. The only downside was the rooms. They are in serious need of renovation. You don't spend much time in them, but in the bathroom, for example, you had to be quite brave to take a shower there, and there was no air conditioning in either of the two rooms we had all week. Otherwise, the overall cleanliness was truly top-notch throughout the resort, and the vegetation was absolutely magnificent!

Hôtel très populaire alors rempli à capacité maximale, mais malgré tout c’était très bien et on ne se sentait pas étouffée (sauf au buffet très bruyant). Plage magnifique, piscine assez grande, le service était bon, les gens accueillants et souriants, restaurants à la carte bons particulièrement le Boavista sur la plage, bar et animation c’était génial, un très beau voyage en famille qui a plu à tous peu importe l’âge. Le seul bémol, les chambres. Elles ont besoin d’être sérieusement rénovées. On n’y passe pas beaucoup de temps, mais dans la salle de bain par exemple, il ne fallait pas être dédaigneux pour prendre sa douche là et pas d’air climatisée de la semaine dans les 2 chambres qu’on a eu. Sinon la propreté générale étaient vraiment A1 sur tout le resort et la végétation complètement magnifique!
