Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana

The hotel, the staff, the quality of the food, the huge beach, the cleanliness of the premises, the service…and so much more, everything is impeccable! We loved discovering the Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana.

L’hôtel, le Personnel, la Qualité de la nourriture, l’immense Plage, la Propreté des lieux, le Service…et j’en passe, tout est Impeccable!
Nous avons adoré découvrir le Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana.

Guests should be warned that swimming at the beach will be impossible due to the incredible amount of seaweed. Mountains of seaweed prevent access to the sea, and the seaweed is present in industrial quantities on the beach and in the water. We've never seen anything like it. We had to walk for two hours each day to find a less bad spot to reach the sea. It's a shame because the hotel itself, the cleanliness of the rooms, the buffet, and the restaurants are excellent. However, the buffet staff were neither friendly nor very helpful. The shuttle service was excellent, and the shuttle and room service staff were warm and attentive to our needs. Despite the positive aspects, since our goal on vacation is to make the most of the beach, we were very disappointed because hearing tractors all day trying to clear the mountains of seaweed was not relaxing. This meant the pools were overcrowded and lacked space. We will not return to Punta Cana given the seaweed situation. There is no such problem in La Romana and the water is clear.

Les clients devraient être prévenus qu'il ne sera pas possible de se baigner à la plage dû à la quantité incroyable d'algues, des montagnes d'algues nous empêche d'accéder à la mer et les algues sont en quantité industrielle sur la plage et dans l'eau.Du jamais vu pour nous.Nous avons dû marcher 2h par jour pour trouver un endroit où c'etait moin pire pour accéder à la mer. Dommage car l'hôtel, la propreté des chambres,le buffet et les restaurants sont excellents.Toutefois le personnel au buffet pas souriant du tout ,ni très serviabke.Service de navette excellent et le personnel de la navette et du service au chambre sont chaleureux et à l'ecoute de nos besoins.Malgré les points positifs puisque notre but en vacances est de profiter au maximum de la plage,nous sommes très déçu car entendre des tracteurs toute la journée pour essayer de ramasser les montagnes d'algues n'est pas reposant.Ceci fait que les piscines sont bondées et manque de places. Nous ne retournerons pas à Punta cana vu la situation avec les algues.Il n'y a pas ce problème à la Romana et l'eau est claire.

This was my seventh visit to the Dominican Republic, but unfortunately, my stay at the Bahia Principe Explore (August 27th to September 3rd) was the most disappointing, especially regarding the beach. It was covered in sargassum seaweed, making swimming much less enjoyable. Another very irritating aspect was the constant presence of vendors who relentlessly solicited us, both on the beach and around the pool. Their persistence quickly became tiresome and detracted from the peace and quiet one seeks on vacation. In short, even though I usually enjoy the region, this experience fell short of my expectations.

C’était ma 7e visite en République dominicaine, mais malheureusement mon séjour au Bahia Principe Explore (27 août au 3 septembre) a été le plus décevant, surtout en ce qui concerne la plage. Elle était envahie de sargasses, rendant la baignade beaucoup moins agréable.

Autre point très irritant : la présence constante de vendeurs qui nous sollicitent sans arrêt, autant à la plage qu’autour de la piscine. Leur insistance devient rapidement fatigante et nuit à la tranquillité qu’on recherche en vacances.

En résumé, même si j’apprécie habituellement la région, cette expérience a été en dessous de mes attentes.
