The staff is highly praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. The quality of the food, both at the buffets and in the à la carte restaurants, is frequently highlighted. Furthermore, the beach is considered beautiful and clean, with calm water ideal for swimming. The overall cleanliness of the property, including the rooms and the various pools, also contributes to a pleasant experience, particularly for families. However, reservations at the à la carte restaurants are sometimes mentioned as being difficult to make. Similarly, the condition of the rooms is occasionally described as needing some updating.

I was disappointed because we didn't have a Sunwing agent who spoke French.

Too much noise
Trop de bruit
Clean room, great buffet, very close to the beach, however, the staff were cold, there was no service, long wait at the bar, very dirty shared toilets, the maritime traffic was too close, and there was too much entertainment and too much noise.

Disappointment
Déception
A terrible choice. The room was dreadful, filthy, no shower curtain, the TV didn't work, the sheets were damp, and the view wasn't as advertised on the website. There was no soundproofing, too much noise from 7 days a week until midnight, and a leaf blower started running at 6:00 AM. There was an excessive surcharge when paying in USD. The activity with Nexus was a tourist trap and didn't match the brochures... in short, dishonest.

Good experience
Good experience
The hotel is nice, clean, and the staff are polite and friendly. The room is a bit small, but the beds are very comfortable. The food is pretty good and there’s enough variety that you don’t get too bored during your stay. I really appreciated being able to grab a latte or cappuccino from the café in the morning.
I also loved the pool options. The kids’ side can get quite busy, but it’s great that there are different areas to choose from. The outdoor shows in the evening are fun and a nice way to end the day.
The à la carte restaurants are really good. Make sure to book your restaurants as soon as you arrive for the following days because they fill up quickly. Los Agaves was the best in my opinion. Just an FYI—you can sometimes bypass the reservation if you purchase a bottle of wine or something that’s not on the regular menu. Maki Taco was pretty tasty, although unfortunately the food was cold when we received it.
One downside is finding a beach chair—good luck even if you get up early. People tend to leave their towels there all day and night to reserve them, so that can be frustrating. I’m sure the hotel could put something in place to help mitigate that.
The beach itself was really nice—shallow water and almost no waves, which is perfect if you have young kids. The waterfront can get a bit busy since the ferry to Isla Mujeres is right next to the resort, but overall it was a very positive experience.

Nothing more, nothing less
Ni plus ni moins
Nothing about this hotel made me go "wow." Everything is basic; I don't know how else to put it. The beach is very small, and there aren't enough chairs for everyone. Some might like the water because it's calm and waveless, located in a sort of bay on the Caribbean Sea. That was my biggest disappointment. It's not the real ocean. Otherwise, the food is good, but the restaurants are more like The Sens. The rooms are old and small, and the shower constantly went from hot to cold with very low water pressure. There's no balcony either. Otherwise, everything else is, as I said, basic.
