The only downside was the organized transportation to Playa Del Carmen! It's a tourist trap. There shouldn't be any stops other than in Playa! The beach wasn't ideal at this time of year because of the sargassum seaweed! The pools more than made up for it! I loved this all-inclusive resort!

A very beautiful and large site, unfortunately too much sargassum seaweed to fully appreciate the beach (not their fault, it's nature). The show in the air-conditioned theater was very well done and much appreciated. We had a wonderful week.

We had booked the Grand Riviera, but since it was under renovation, they put us in the Sunset wing, which is newly renovated. This is my third year staying at this hotel; it's my favorite. The only downside was the sargassum seaweed, which was very prevalent. The staff did their best to collect it, but some kept coming back. It's just a minor detail, as they have no control over what the sea brings in. In short, I highly recommend it.

Ideal hotel once the renovations are finished.
Hotel idéal quand les rénovations seront fini.
Half the hotel is being renovated, but the noise isn't bothersome. When it's all finished, it will be perfect because it's an excellent hotel for families. The food is excellent, all the bars on the premises are always well-stocked, and the buffet is perfect. The best à la carte restaurant is the Brazilian one.
La moitié de l'hotel est en rénovation mais le bruit ne dérange pas. Quand tout sera fini, cela sera parfait car c'est un excellent hotel pour la famille. Nourriture excellente, tout les bars sur le site sont toujours bien équipé et le buffet parfait. Le meilleur resto a la carte c'est le Brésilien.

I would advise visiting this hotel after the renovations because yes, you can sometimes hear noises, especially on the beach and near some of the pools, and it's also visually less aesthetically pleasing.
Je conseillerais de visiter cet hôtel après les travaux parce que oui, on entend parfois des bruits, surtout à la plage et près de certaines piscines et c’est aussi visuellement moins esthétique.
