Treat yourself to a luxurious vacation at the Grand Sunset Princess All Suites and Spa. Surrounded by lush greenery, the Grand Sunset Princess All Suites and Spa is a paradise on earth for escaping the daily grind. This 5-star hotel offers exceptional service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a wide variety of restaurants—10 in total. Soak up the warm Mexican sun by one of the expansive pools or stay active with water sports like kayaking and snorkeling. Relax on a lounge chair on the beach. In the evening, head to the nightclub.
The hotel is distinguished by the exemplary cleanliness of its facilities and rooms, complemented by a very friendly and helpful staff. The grounds are beautiful, luxurious, and well-maintained, offering lovely pools and spacious rooms. Furthermore, the quality and variety of the food are appreciated, particularly in the à la carte restaurants. However, the beach is sometimes rocky or prone to seaweed, with occasional unpleasant odors. The grounds are very large, so getting around can involve long walks. Additionally, service can be sporadically slow, especially at the bars.

Very good most of the time
Très bien la plus part temps
Everything is positive, except for the beach, which is very crowded. The sea, unfortunately. The restrooms in general could use an update. The opening hours of the café and ice cream shop are also questionable. It opens at 3:00 PM.
Tout est positif, sauf la plage qui est tassé un sur l'autre. La mer, malheureusement. Les toilettes en général pourraient être refait. Les heures d'ouverture du café Shop et de la crème glacé. Qui ouvre à 15:00.

Sincerement wow
Sincerement wow
I've stayed in over 20 hotels in Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico, and seriously, a huge wow for this hotel... there was sargassum seaweed, we didn't have a beach, but that didn't detract from the service, cleanliness, and especially the food... the best hotel I've ever stayed in :)

Mexico is too expensive and should be avoided between February and September because of the stinking sargassum seaweed.
Mexique trop cher et à bannir entre février et septembre à cause des sargasses puantes
Too expensive to only smell the stench of sargassum seaweed all week. Mexico should be avoided from February to at least September each year, and it is your responsibility to tell customers to confirm that there is this stinking and unpleasant seaweed and that it is impossible to even dip a toe in the sea. And not to say maybe there is, maybe there isn't.

Relaxing holidays
Vacances reposantes
A very nice, well-renovated hotel. The resort is far too large, with its two sections facing each other (Riviera and Sunset). The lobby is at one end of the complex, while we were staying at the other (requiring frequent trips on the little train, which is very unpleasant). The beach wasn't cleaned (sargassum seaweed everywhere). We couldn't even sit there because the smell was awful. As for the buffet, for a 5-star hotel, there wasn't much to choose from. Lots of fast food. Very few prepared salads (pasta, potatoes, etc.). Not what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. So, overall, a rather disappointing stay. Luckily, we booked it at a very good price. We won't be returning.
Très bel hôtel bien rénové.
More...

Not a 5 star resort…
Not a 5 star resort…
So this is definitely not a 5-star resort, no matter what it’s advertised as. The only reason I can think it has a 5-star rating is because of the recent renovations. Yes, the resort looks beautiful and the staff was friendly, but that’s where the positives end.
The food was incredibly mediocre. They literally serve dishes from their à la carte restaurant on the everyday buffet. I’ve been to many all-inclusive resorts and have never seen that before. We’ve stayed at genuine 5-star resorts in the past, and this was nowhere close.
Also, don’t expect to enjoy the beach. It was covered in seaweed and had a terrible smell. It was so unpleasant that not a single person was swimming in the water during our stay, which completely made sense once you got close.
To be completely honest, this is a 3-star resort wrapped in a modern, renovated exterior. Had we known what the experience would actually be like, we never would have booked it.
What surprises me the most is that more people aren’t mentioning these issues in their reviews. If you’re looking for a true 5-star all-inclusive experience, I would strongly recommend choosing a different resort.
