Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe

We initially booked this hotel because we like the Hilton chain and it was close to the airport (15-20 minutes). The hotel is new and well-maintained. The service is impeccable; they respond quickly to requests. The food at the à la carte restaurants is very good and varied! The buffet is sometimes limited, and unfortunately, if you prefer the buffet, it's often closed in the evening. Regarding the sargassum seaweed on the beach, there's a lot of it, and it smells bad. It's not collected regularly, even though they mention otherwise. Five days passed before they collected the sargassum. Tractors drive by but don't stop at the Hilton; clearly, they're not prioritizing the situation. We understand that this is a natural phenomenon, but more regular maintenance would be much appreciated. As for the pools, luckily, the hotel wasn't at full capacity because there weren't enough chairs, and there were a lot of people in the pools. Overall, it's a nice hotel, and everything is close by. There isn't much to do in the evenings, so if you enjoy going out at night, this isn't the place. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for families with young children.

En premier lieu, nous avons reservé cet hôtel car nous aimons la chaîne Hilton et il était près de l’aéroport 15-20 min. L’hôtel est récent et bien entretenu. Le service est impeccable ils répondent rapidement à tes demandes. La nourriture aux restaurants à la carte est très bonne et variée! Le buffet est parfois limité et Malheureusement, si vous préférez le buffet, le soir il est souvent fermé. Et en ce qui concerne les sargasses sur la plage, il y en a beaucoup et ça sent. Ce n’est pas ramassés régulièrement même s’ils mentionnent le contraire. 5 jours ont passé avant qu’ils ramassent les sargassent il y a des tracteurs qui passent mais ne s arrêtent pas au Hilton, clairement il ne priorise pas la situation. Nous comprenons que ceci est un phénomène naturel mais un entretien plus régulier serait plus agréable. Pour ce qui est des piscines, par chance, l’hôtel n’était pas à pleine capacité car il manque de chaises et il y a énormément beaucoup de gens dans les piscines. Somme tout c est un bel hôtel et tout est à proximité. Il n’y a pas grand chose à faire le soir donc si vous aimez sortir le soir ce n’est pas la place. Somme toute, je recommanderais cet hôtel pour les familles avec de jeunes enfants.

Despite what follows, all in all: a very nice trip, a beautiful, well-maintained hotel in a lovely setting, good drinks and wines (which isn't always the case!), and smiling staff. The water was gorgeous, a little bit of seaweed, but nothing like what we've seen elsewhere in the region. For your information: you must reserve your restaurant reservations by 6:00 AM the day before via the hotel website. All the restaurants were very good; our favorites were the Asian and Italian restaurants. One small frustration we experienced—so be warned!—was that upon our arrival at 7:00 PM, our room wasn't ready! They found us a table in the restaurant, but an hour and fifteen minutes later, as we were finishing our wine, we were asked to leave because other guests had reservations... chair reservations... depending on how busy it is, we didn't have a problem at the beginning of the week, but we did at the end! Please; Don't reserve your spots (especially at the pool AND the beach... or if you've gone on an excursion for part of the day... it's seriously frustrating!)

Malgré ce qui suit, somme toute: très beau voyage, bel hôtel, bien entretenu dans un bel environnement, bons drinks et vins (ce n'est pas toujours le cas!) et personnel souriant. L'eau était super belle, un peu d'algue, mais très loin d'être comme on a déjà vu dans la région.

A titre informatif: vous devez réserver vos places au restaurant dès 6h la veille via le site de l'hôtel. Tous très bons, nos préférés l'asiatique et l'italien.

Une petite frustration que nous avons vécu - donc soyez avertis! : à notre arrivée à 19h: notre chambre n'était pas prête! On nous a trouvé une place en restaurant, par contre 1h15 plus tard, alors que nous terminons notre vin, on nous demandait de quitter, parce que d'autres clients eux avaient réservés ....

Réservation de chaise.... dépendant de l'achalandage, nous n'avions pas de problème au début de la semaine, mais à la fin oui! SVP; ne réservez pas vos places (surtout à la piscine ET à la plage....ou encore si vous êtes partis en excursion pour une partie de la journée... c'est sérieusement frustrant!)
