They charged me over an extra $600cad to left my friend stay with me all week... I couldn't book for 2 because she already lived there so didn't need a flight. Would've been the same price to just book the second flight and not use it.
The safe didn't have batteries, nor did the tv remote. The bulbs were dead in the lights. Nothing worked on the tv. The ac didn't work some nights. The bathroom ceiling flooded water randomly at night kind of like a waterfall. You can't use the pools after 9pm which is the most ideal time to use them as earlier why not use the sweet beach if you cam dodge all the beach hustlers. I didn't like the beach was shared with the walah resort. They party right outside my room until 3-4am and bring their kids there. I chose an adult only resort not to have to see kids so it's deceptive to then have kids on the other half of the small beach, they're actually on the bar side lol, so you have to cross children to get your drinks. Then they're also playing games on the beach the whole time. I almost got pegged by a dart trying to get back into the hotel from the beach because they setup ballons to toss darts at right in the middle of the path leading back in...
My review might sound bad but other than these things mentioned and some other things I didn't mention but I do like the location, view and small size of the hotel. Drinks were cheap and Luis made me the best ones by far. There was really nice restaurants like that La Bruja Chupadora BBQ & Pub just a short walk away. I would definitely consider coming back but at half the price I paid. If I booked last minute a week in advance it actually was half the price. Unfortunately they held firm on the price the week I went. There's air bnb very similar but 3-4x bigger rooms just next door on the beach for 600cad per week, much better option. ~700 for the flight. When this is $1000 with the flight it becomes a good deal.
