Disappointed with the quality of the room, no safe, no fridge, clean but in urgent need of renovations. Against by the sight of the tower is exceptional. Do not go during the holidays too many Mexican families with family. The food is ordinary compared to Riviera Maya. The staff of the hotel is no more. The site was moved from its evil expansion. The beach, sand and sun 5 *, ideal for lovers of waves. I have never seen a site that has everything included precise hours for bars and buffets. Brief for a few extra $ $ I recommend the Barcelo or the Melia Azul following a visit during our stay. Positive: Beach, near the city during the holiday period the staff work very hard for the organization of meals "Fiesta". Sun and beach Negative: I have never seen schedules bar and buffet. Deçu de la qualite de la chambre, pas de coffret de sûrete, ni frigo, propre mais besoin urgent de renovations. Par contre la vue de la tour est exceptionnelle. Ne pas aller pendant le temps des fêtes trop de familles mexicaines avec la famille. La nourriture est ordinaire compare a Riviera Maya. Le personnel de l hotel est bien pas plus. Le site a ete mal emmenage depuis son agrandissement. La plage, le sable et le soleil 5*, ideal pour les amateurs de vagues. Je n ai jamais vu un site tout inclus qui a des heures precises pour les bars et buffets. Bref pour quelques $$ de plus je conseil le Barcelo ou le Melia Azul suite a une visite effectuee pendant notre sejour. Positif : Plage, proximite de la ville, pendant la periode des fêtes le personnel travaille tres fort pour l organisation des repas "Fiesta". Positive: We went to the Presidente Intercontinental Ixtapa from February 21 to February 28, 2008. To help you, we are a couple aged 31 and 35 with our 5-year-old son. We have more than ten trips to different places, so we can compare. We were on the fifteenth floor in room 1506 with a balcony overlooking the sea, but we had to stand because the balcony was completely cement. The rooms overlooking the pools are also very good. The hotel is very well located in the center of the hotel zone, near bars, restaurants, the flea market and small shops. The beach is wide with beautiful sand. The pools are nice and clean and quite large. The food is good both at the buffets and at the a la carte restaurants. We did not need reservations for the 4 a la carte restaurants, but arrived at 6 p.m. because of the line-up. Karaoke nights, casino and shows in the evening. Bar service on the beach but with tips, much more service with Carlos. Side of the beach with entertainment for those who want it and quiet side for others. No need to reserve your chairs early in the morning, there are always free. We did 1 excursion, Catamaran Picante for the sunset that we could not see because it was foggy but very beautiful excursion anyway. Negative: The only negative comment I could make is for the rooms. They would be due to painting, change of ceramic and the bathroom could be changed. The room must have been magnificent, about ten years ago all in white ... the room is equivalent to a 3 star. For the buffet, it is not huge but you always find some very good things there. If I had the choice to return to Ixtapa, having stayed there a few times already, I would probably go to the Barcelo former Sheraton nearby or the Mélia Azul (which is not near the restaurants and bars etc... and also for the beach because it is always wet because it is narrow but if you are a pool person, it is great. The complex is worth its 5 stars with water slides and games for the little ones.

Positif : Nous sommes aller au Presidente Intercontinental Ixtapa du 21 février au 28 février 2008. Pour vous aider nous sommes un couple de 31 et 35 ans avec notre garçon de 5 ans. Nous en sommes à plus d`une dizaine de voyages à différents endroits, alors nous pouvons comparer. Nous étions au quinzième étage à la chambre 1506 avec balcon vue mer mais il fallait être debout car balcon en ciment au complet.. Les chambres vues piscines sont très bien aussi.L`hôtel est très bien situé dans le centre de la zone hôtelière près des bars, des restos, du marché aux puces et petites boutiques. La plage est large avec un beau sable. Les piscines sont belles et propres et assez grandes. La nourriture est bonne autant aux buffets qu`aux restaurants à la carte. Nous n`avons pas besoin de réservations pour les 4 restaurants à la carte mais arrivé pour 6 hres car line-up. Soirées karaoke, casino et spectacles le soir. Service de bar sur la plage mais avec un pourboires, beaucoup plus de service avec Carlos. Côté de la plage avec animation pour ceux qui le désir et côté tranquille pour les autres. Pas besoin de réserver vos chaises tôt le matin, il y en a toujours de libre. Nous avons fait 1 excursion, Catamaran Picante pour le couché de soleil qu`on n`a pu voir car brumeux mais très belle excursion quand même. Négatif : Le seul commentaire négatif que je pourrais faire est pour les chambres. Elles seraient dû à de la peinture, changement de céramique et le bain pourrait être changé. La chambre devait être magnifique , il y a une dizaine d`années tous en blanc...la chambre équivaut à un 3 étoiles. Pour le buffet, il n`est pas énorme mais on y trouve toujours quelques choses de très bon. Si j`avais le choix de retourner à Ixtapa, pour y avoir séjourné quelques fois déjà, j`irais probablement au Barcelo ancien Sheraton tout près ou au Mélia Azul (qui se trouve pas près des restos et bars ect... et non plus pour la plage car elle toujours humide car étroite mais si vous êtes type piscine, c`est super. Le complexe vaut son 5 étoiles avec glissades d`eau et jeux pour les petits.
