To visit Havana is to experience the real Cuba! Come on, step out of your all-inclusive hotel and take a stroll through this fascinating city where yesterday and today's history blend perfectly. A true open-air museum, Havana is the cradle of Cuban rhythmic music. You will come back home completely charmed by this colonial city which is, by the way, the country's capital.
Guests particularly appreciate the hotel's beautiful beach, its proximity to Havana, and the complimentary shuttle service. Furthermore, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff are frequently highlighted, contributing to a pleasant experience. However, it is sometimes mentioned that the food can be repetitive, lacking variety, and occasionally cold or tasteless.

daily precariousness
précarité au quotidien
Little food, if we were not at the opening time at the buffet the waiting time to cook meat, fish, omelets, etc., was eternal. It was not uncommon not to eat enough. Impossible to find a place for the à la carte restaurant. Power outages daily, lack of water in the hotel several times then a break-in in our room which ended with a theft of Uno card game (lucky nothing serious). Finally Air Transat sends the taxi to pick us up at 3:00 p.m. when our flight is at 8:55 p.m. We arrive at 4:30 p.m. at the airport and we have to wait in a bistro outside until 6:00 p.m. because we can't get back in before, what a wasted day! In addition to staying until 3:00 p.m. in our room to enjoy the morning at the beach, we had to pay an additional $40 American. No compensation provided for all the inconvenience experienced.

An unforgettable stay in Cuba
Un séjour inoubliable à Cuba
For a first-time traveler in Cuba, it was a memorable stay, as much for the hotel, the welcoming staff, and the wonderful beaches. The location is perfect because it is 30-40 minutes from Havana, a city rich in history dating back more than five centuries that is absolutely worth visiting.
More...

What a negative change
Quel changement negatif
I have been going to this hotel almost every year for several years for its proximity to Havana, the beach, the tranquility, this hotel, and the simplicity of this place, but this year it was horrible because of the Cubans now allowed in the hotel, the waiter told us to arrive at the right time for meals because there is nothing left, the Cubans steal bread, desserts, food, even ice cream put in thermoses, and what about the waste of food they threw full plates, without touching it, they did not respect anyone, walked in front of everyone, pushed to get in front of everyone, and what about the floors, slammed the doors at night, talked loudly, music, the pool forget it was full of Cubans, and the beach a few chairs if there were any left because the employees who took care of the chairs at the beach sold them to the Cubans, the horrible beach for kilometers cans, plastic bags, diapers, bags of chips etc and you have to be careful if you walk on the beach there is glass in the sand and in the water from the glass and cans, I do not recommend this place now if you want peace and cleanliness, for the hotel nothing to say it was clean the rooms were clean and correct, the food repetitive but good if there was any left, the staff friendly and kind as usual, they do their best, exasperated to see the Cubans acting like this not funny for them, an employee told me that the tourist side is much reduced, if they continue with the Cubans at the hotel, it will be difficult for them to go up the coast and tourism, they should specify in the hotel files if local tourism, for my part it was the last time in this place not just the hotel the region of Santa Maria del Mar because the entire beach is disgusting with debris.
