Legends Beach Resort

The location means you're constantly harassed by all sorts of vendors. There's 20 feet of beach in front of the hotel, and if you step outside the imaginary line, especially if you're sitting in the first row of chairs, it's at your own risk. They follow you and harass you. A couple sitting on beach chairs in front had to pay a vendor because they touched fruit that the vendor had dropped on them, and the security guard said, "You touch it, you pay." The beach is fabulous, except that when the sewers overflow, the wastewater spills into the river and then into the sea in front of the hotel, so almost every day after lunch, the seawater turns yellow-brown. The staff is not very friendly, and you get the impression you're constantly bothering them, with the exception of two security guards: Barney at the hotel entrance and Katy in the restaurant, who provides adequate service. Be very careful crossing the street; the hotel is outdated, and the photos are not up-to-date.

L emplacement fait que tu fait harceler constamment par les vendeurs de toute sorte ..
il y a 20 pieds de plage devant l hôtel et si vous sortez de la ligne imaginaire et Mme si vous êtes assis sur la première ranger de chaise …c est à vos risques et péril ils vous suivent et harcele un couple assis sur les chaise de plage devant as du payer au vendeur parce qu il avait toucher le fruit que le vendeur avait laisser tomber sur le lui et le gardien de sécurité à dit tu touche tu paye ….
….la plage est fabuleuse sauf que quand les égouts débordent les eaux usé se déversent dans la rivière et sa s en va dans la mer devant l hôtel donc presque tous les jours après le lunch l eau de mer devient jaune brune …..
Le staff est peu souriant et ont a l impression de les déranger constamment…à exception de 2 Barney gardien de sécurité à l entre de l hôtel et Katy au service qui donne un service adéquat au resto ….
Soyer très prudent en traversant la rue ….l hôtel est désuet les photos ne sont pas à jours …le staff se bouscule pas vous répondre on a toujours “ impression de les déranger … ni à la réception ni au resto et bar … ni les femmes de chambre …le représentant sunwing West jet et pas présent non plus vous devez le faire appeler par la réception..et sa les dérangent de la faire …

Honestly, at the beginning I did not have a good impression, but at the end turn on very well. It is a small resort, with 2 buildings, one across the street. Our room was over the street. This pissed me off at the beginning and I asked to change, but the second day we decided not to moved anymore. Our side was more quiet, and the pool bigger. The rooms are clean, renovated, very comfortable mattress, just the furniture a bit older, but this does not bothering us. We do not go in vacation to have luxury room, for us is more important to be clean and comfortable.
They do not provide water in room ( just first day they gave a bottle for each of us, but from the bar we did daily refill), and beach towel. I asked at the reception and they gave us three towels and we kept them all the week. Still this, you can manage with the housekeeping lady.
This resort is placed in a middle of real Jamaican life, some stores, people. And it is safe and we enjoyed. I like to be able to go out from the resort.
There is not a resort with buffet like how was in Cuba, Dominican Republic, or Mexico, or maybe in Jamaica at 4 or 5 stars. They have a chef and every day another menu for lunch and dinner. The breakfast was different every day too: eggs daily, but depends one day bacon, one day sausages, pancakes, or French toast, oatmeal, cornmeal or porridge. The food was Jamaican food and very fresh and tasty, every day different vegetables, salads, and different soup. We loved it and we really enjoy it. About bar? We are not big drinkers, they had very draught beer and different kind of cocktails, but we preferred rum & Coke.
The beach is amazing. There was plenty of chairs and umbrella. They have security on the beach. They do not have animation or evening spectacles. Depend what are you looking for your vacation. We are going in South for beach and sea. We enjoyed our long walking every day.
All over I would like to return there, even the way from airport it was a bit too long, around 2 hours, because of the stops to others hotels.

This hotel should be a 2-star. No renovations since the hurricane. The photos are completely outdated. There's a general lack of maintenance. Be aware that it's divided into two sections: one on the beach side and another across the street, giving the impression of being separate from the main hotel. There are no lobbies or activities. It's somewhat like an Airbnb. There's only one open-air buffet, no restaurant. The buffet and bar close at 10 PM, as does the reception, so no services are available between 10 PM and 7 AM. The beach is beautiful. There are very few umbrellas for shade, so plan to get up early to snag one. It's very well located, though; every evening there are live reggae bands in different hotels, and everything is within walking distance. The staff is quite friendly. The waitress Vanessa is great. The buffet varied daily, offering pasta or rice, meat, salad, soup, and vegetables. Very small buffet with only 4 or 5 choices but very good nonetheless.

Cette hotel devrait être un 2 étoiles. Aucune rénovation depuis louragan. Les photos ne sont pas à jour du tout. Manque d'entretien général. Attention, il est fait en 2 sections. Coté plage et une autre partie se trouve de lautre coté de la rue. Ce qui donne leffet dêtre apart de lhotel. Aucun lobi, ni activité. Il est fait un peu en style rbnb. Un seul buffet à air ouverte, pas de restaurant. Le buffet et le bar ferme à 22h ainsi que la reception donc aucun service disponible entre 22h et 7h am.
La plage est magnifique.
Tres peu de parasol pour lombre alors prevoyez vous lever tot pour en avoir un.
Il est tres bien situé par contre, chaque soir il y a des bands de musique reggae live dans differente hotel et tout peut se faire en marchant.
Le personnel assez sympathique. La serveuse Vanessa est super.
Le buffet variait tous les jours. Pâtes ou riz , viande, salade, soupe, legumes. Très petit buffet avec 4 ou 5 choix seulement mais très bon malgré tout.

Very, very beautiful beach, unsmiling staff, you eat almost only chicken for lunch and dinner, the hotel lacks a bit of love. I was in room 711 and I had cockroaches in my room. If I went back to this place I would take my room on the beach side.

Plage très très belle , personnel peu souriant , tu mange presque juste du poulet midi et soir ,hôtel manque un peu d’amour. jetait dans la chambre 711 et j’avais des coquerelles dans ma chambre .si je retournais à cette place je prendrais ma chambre coté plage

Very friendly staff, decent buffet but no variety at meals, quality food. Only irritant; men attached to the Tamboo Hotel, a resort adjacent to the , very harassing, especially in the evening when no one is there to enforce the boundaries of the hotel's beach section. I recommend it if you like living among very friendly locals!

Personnel très avenant, buffet convenable mais pas de variété aux repas, nourriture de qualité.
Seul irritant; hommes attachés à l’hôtel Tamboo, resort adjacent au , très harcelants, particulièrement le soir lorsque personne n’est là pour faire respecter les limites de la section de plage de l’hôtel. Je recommande si vous aimer vivre parmi les locaux très sympathiques!
