Bel hôtel, plage affreuse en septembre
The beach was absolutely FULL of sargassum seaweed, it formed mountains along the shoreline. It stank terribly, and even when we tried to swim, there was a lot of it in the water too. Tractors were constantly going by to collect it from the beach, but they were extremely noisy and didn't seem to be collecting much at all... Also, since the beach is public, there were TONS of vendors; we were hassled 15 times in the space of 10 minutes. The hotel itself is very beautiful, the staff is very friendly, the food is good, and the landscaping is well-maintained. The resort is very, very large, so there were shuttles/golf carts to take you to the different facilities. As for the room, the soundproofing was terrible. We booked an "adults only" room because we thought it would be quieter, but there were lots of drunk people yelling in the hallways in the early hours of the morning, which woke us up every time. The same thing happened with the patio door; we could hear EVERYTHING that was going on outside (from the second floor, we could hear people talking as they walked outside). Also, towards the end of our stay, water started dripping from our ceiling in the middle of the night, and it never stopped. We notified the housekeeping staff, who did nothing to fix it.
La plage était vraiment REMPLIE de sargasses, ça faisait des montagnes en bordure de mer. Ça puait énormément, et même quand on essayait de se baigner, il y en avait bcp dans l'eau aussi. Des tracteurs passaient constamment pour ramasser sur la plage, mais extrêmement bruyants et ils n'avaient pas l'air de ramasser grand chose... Aussi comme la plage est publique, il y avait ÉNORMÉMENT de vendeur, en l'espace de 10 minutes nous nous sommes fait achaler 15 fois.
More... Less...L'hôtel en tant que tel est très beau, staff très gentil, bonne nourriture, l'aménagement paysager bien entretenu. Le site est très très grand, donc il y avait des navettes/cart de golf pour t'amener aux différentes installations.
Pour la chambre, très très très mauvaise isolation. On avait pris ''adults only'' car on croyait que ça allait être plus calme, mais bcp de gens en état d'ébriété qui gueulent dans les corridors aux petites heures du matin, ce qui nous réveillait à chaque fois. Même chose pour la porte patio, on entendait TOUT ce qui se passait dehors (du 2e étage, on entendait les gens qui parlaient en marchant dehors). Aussi, vers la fin du séjour de l'eau s'est mis à tomber/s'égoutter de notre plafond en pleine nuit, et ça n'a jamais cessé. On a averti le staff de ménage, qui n'ont rien fait pour régler ça.
