The Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka'an on the Riviera Maya, formerly known as the Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an, is located on the Robert Trent Jones golf course of the Bahia Principe Riviera Maya, approximately 42 km from Playa del Carmen, 26 km from Tulum, and 95 km from Cancun Airport. It is reserved for adults only (18 years and older).
Guests particularly appreciate the excellent quality of the food, both at the buffets and à la carte restaurants, as well as the welcoming staff and attentive service. The impeccable cleanliness of the grounds and rooms is also frequently highlighted, along with the lush beauty of the surroundings and the pleasant swimming pools. However, it is sometimes mentioned that the beach can be rocky or have seaweed, making access to the water somewhat more difficult.

Superb experience! I recommend this place for ages 18 and up!
Superbe expérience ! Je recommande cet endroit 18 ans et plus!
I'd say I really enjoyed everything! The only annoying thing was waiting for the little train (shuttle) that takes you to the beach and the other Bahia Principe resorts. We're allowed to go to the other Bahia Principe resorts (Akumal, Tequila, Tulum, and Coba). The shuttle takes 10-12 minutes, and there are speed bumps in the streets, so you get a bit of a jostle, but most Mexican drivers are careful. If you miss the shuttle, you have to wait, and I prefer to walk and go straight to the beach. I like having that freedom. It's possible to walk to the beach, but it takes at least 30 minutes, and there's a small viaduct bridge that crosses the main road. There's no sidewalk there, and cars other than the shuttle can pass by. So, generally, you don't really have a choice but to take the shuttle. Also, when I went, all the beaches were full of sargassum seaweed except for Akumal, which is in a small bay and is shallow, teeming with fish. People feed them bread and chips (which I don't like as much). You can swim and snorkel there. There are small rocks, so for those who don't like them, you can wear water shoes. The other Bahia Principe (18+) is the Tequila, but it's more of a party spot. And at Sian Ka'an, it's quieter, the staff is truly amazing, it's intimate, like a little jungle. I highly recommend this place unless you want to be close to the beach.
More...

Quiet hotel for resting
Hôtel tranquille pour se reposer
Sian Ka'an is the quietest of the five. It provides access to Akumal, Tequila, Coba, and Tulum. The trains are a pleasant way to travel between the resorts and run regularly. The food at the à la carte restaurants is excellent. Akumal's beach is clean and cleared of the sargassum seaweed; there are tons of fish, but the water is currently low.

Everything was perfect, except for the evening buffet which was very repetitive and lacked choice... compared to recent years.
