Mahogany Hotel Residence And Spa

No hot water for the first three days (cold water coming out of the hot water tap), we asked the reception several times. Then, sporadically no water coming out of the hot water tap, every day, without warning. Insufficient parking space given the number of rooms, so you have to come back early to the hotel because around 8:00 p.m. no space available, and we were not even in high season. The hotel restaurants are very expensive compared to the quality. 30 Euros per person, for the ordinary buffet breakfast, 41 Euros per person for the buffet dinner (no better than in Cuba). On the other hand, the pizza at the beach restaurant is good (between 16 and 18 Euros) and 1 pizza for two people is sufficient. The quality of the cookware and dishes is questionable (broken cooking pan, chipped dishes, no dishcloths). For the rest of the room it was ok, despite the smell of humidity and cigarettes. Nice view from the balcony. We would not recommend this hotel to our friends.

Pas d'eau chaude les trois premiers jours (eau froide qui sort du robinet d'eau chaude), on a fait la demande à la reception plusieurs fois. Ensuite, sporadiquement pas d'eau qui sort du robinet d'eau chaude, à tous les jours, sans avertissement.
Emplacement de stationnement insuffisant compte tenu du nombre de chambres, il faut donc revenir tôt à l'hotel pcq vers 20h00 aucune place disponible, et nous n'étions même pas en haute saison
Les restaurants de l'hotel sont très chers par rapport à la qualité. 30 Euros par personne, pour le petit dejeuner buffet ordinaire, 41 Euros par personne pour le souper buffet (pas mieux qu'à Cuba). Par contre la pizza au resto de la plage est bonne (entre 16 et 18 Euros) et 1 pizza pour deux personne est suffisante
La qualité de la batterie de cuisine et de la vaiselle est discutable ( poele de cuisson brisée, vaisselle toute écaillée, pas de linge de vaisselle)
Pour le reste de la chambre c'etait correct, malgré l'odeur d'humidité et de cigarette. Belle vue du balcon
On ne recommanderait pas cet hôtel à nos amis

We stayed at the Hotel La Créole in the Mahogany section in a room equipped with a kitchenette on the balcony. The room was clean and simple but really lacked storage. The bed was comfortable. Our balcony had a view of the not very chic interior courtyard but we were quiet. Positive points; The hotel is very well located near the village of Le Gosier where access to Grande Terre and Basse Terre is easy, however you absolutely need to rent a car to have an easy time seeing the main attractions of the island. The roads are beautiful and it is quite easy to find your way around. There are a few restaurants around the hotel and several car rental companies. The beach is pretty but not the most beautiful on the island. Locals have unlimited access to the beach and sometimes it becomes more difficult to visit. In the evening there are some shows but the drinks at the bar are expensive (from $12 to $20 CAN.) for a drink. Negative points We were the victim of a major water outage for 4 days where we had to "Flush" the toilet with water boilers. No hot water for the shower. The Hotel did not offer any compensation to the customers...not even a drink at the bar or lunch at the restaurant because we had nothing included....Disappointing. Another negative point is the lack of security on site with young people from the area who come to smoke their pot, listen to music and be noisy by taking the beach chairs reserved for customers and being right on the hotel facilities.

Nous étions a l'Hôtel La Créole a la section Mahogany dans une chambre équipé d'une cuisinette au balcon. Chambre propre et sobre mais qui manque réellement de rangement. Le lit est confortable. Notre balcon avait une vue vers la cour intérieur pas très chic mais nous étions tranquille.
Points positifs ;
L'Hôtel est très bien situé près du village Le Gosier ou l'accès a Grande Terre et Basse Terre est facile ,par contre il vous faut absolument loué une voiture pour avoir une facilité a voir les principaux attraits de l'île. Les routes sont belles et il est assez facile de s'y retrouvé. Il y a quelques resto. autour de l'hôtel et plusieurs compagnies de location de voitures. La plage est jolie mais pas la plus belle de l'île . Les locaux ont un accès illimité a la plage et quelquefois elle devient plus difficile a fréquenté. Le soir il y a quelques spectacles mais les boissons au bar sont dispendieux ( De $ 12 a $ 20 CAN.) pour une consommation.
Points négatifs
Nous avons été victime d'une coupure d'eau majeur pendant 4 jours ou on devait " Flusher " la toilette avec des chaudières d'eau. Aucune eau chaude pour la douche. L'Hôtel n'a offert aucune compensation a la clientèle...pas même une consommation au bar ou un déjeuner au restaurant car nous n'avions rien d'inclus....Décevant. Autres point négatif c'est le peu de sécurité sur le site avec les jeunes du secteur qui viennent fumé leur pot ,écouté de la musique et être bruyant en prenant les chaises de plage réservé a la clientèle et d'être carrément sur les installation de l'hôtel.
