A look back at our stay following a hotel relocation
Retour sur notre séjour suite à une relocalisation d’hôtel
We were relocated to this hotel a week before our departure. The hotel is really good in terms of the rooms, the quality of the food, and the service. The wine is good (the same is served at the buffet and in the restaurants, unless you order à la carte). The cocktails are also good, although some bars are better than others. The pool bars, in particular, are a bit more "so-so." There is entertainment at the pools, but no activities like kayaking or catamaran sailing on the beach—that said, this wasn't a problem for us. Our main disappointment was the beach, since we had chosen our initial destination (La Romana) precisely for a long beach with the least possible risk of sargassum seaweed. There was also a lack of umbrellas at the pool and very little shade on the beach: no palapas, only a few cabanas.

Le vin est bon (le même est servi au buffet et dans les restaurants, à moins de commander à la carte). Les cocktails sont aussi bons, même si certains bars sont meilleurs que d’autres. Les bars de piscine, notamment, sont un peu plus “so-so”.
Il y a de l’animation aux piscines, mais pas d’activités comme le kayak ou le catamaran à la plage — ceci dit, pour nous ça ne causait pas de problème.
Notre principale déception reste la plage, puisque nous avions choisi notre destination initiale (La Romana) justement pour une plage longue et avec le moins de risque possible de sargasse. Il y avait aussi un manque de parasols à la piscine et très peu d’ombre à la plage : aucun palapa, seulement quelques lits-cabines.
