A bit overrated!

We spent a week at the Meliá in Cozumel. The weather was beautiful and warm. It's a lovely hotel, and the room was perfect: large, very clean, and with a superb sea view. Unfortunately, the beach was covered in seaweed, and the water was brown and murky. The pool was very small and often crowded with people from the bar. The biggest drawback was the food. The buffet was small with limited choices, and the two restaurants offered a limited menu. The food was good, but the dishes were never hot enough (even when we asked). We will not be returning to this hotel.

Small, very clean and quiet resort. The food was very good. Always plenty of space at the beach or pool. The beach is beautiful, but there are some rocks and coral in the sea. You can still swim, though. Friendly staff. I recommend it.
