Given the widespread problems at hotel buffets in Cuba and that we don't drink much (and that Cristal and Bucaneros beers are exported and absent from bars or overpriced), we took the gamble of choosing a European plan in this Boutique Hotel. No regrets because it is located 400 meters from the historic center where you can find the best restaurants at reasonable prices (e.g. Le Trinidad, El Secreto or Munoz tapas). Hotel on Mount La Popa where the 5 to 7 are magical with musicians and magnificent sunsets. The staff is smiling and helpful. But be careful because there are several steps and stairs everywhere and the streets of the colonial city are paved with stones. No Sunwing representative and no French at the reception and on TV except TV5 International clientele. Do not rely on WiFi for your Laptop as almost everywhere in Cuba. So for those who love culture, photography and exoticism. Magnificent Ancon beach still partly public 15 km away. Taxi $30.00 Us. or $45 Cdn. round trip in Lada or 50s cars. Sharing is not expensive. Don't miss a visit to La Casa de la Céramica and a visit to the Alaya Cathedral Cave Disco just behind the Hotel. It can sometimes be advantageous to pay in pesos (About 17,500 pesos for $100 Cdn). Vu les problèmes généralisés aux buffets des hôtels à Cuba et que nous buvons peu ( et que les bières Cristal et Bucaneros sont exportés et absentes des bars ou hors de prix) ,nous avons faits le pari de choisir un plan européen dans cet Hôtel Boutique. Aucun regret car situé à 400 mètres du centre historique où l`on trouve les meilleurs restaurants à prix raisonnable (ex .Le Trinidad, El Secreto ou le Munoz tapas) .Hôtel sur le mont La Popa où les 5 à 7 sont magiques avec musiciens et couchers de soleil magnifiques .Le personnel est souriant et serviable.
More... Less...Mais attention car plusieurs marches et escaliers partout et rues de la ville coloniale pavées de pierres. Pas de représentant Sunwing et pas de francais à la réception et à la télé sauf TV5 Clientèle internationale .Ne pas se fier au WiFi pour votre Laptop comme un peu partout à Cuba .
Donc pour celles et ceux qui aiment la culture, la photo et l`exotisme.
Magnifique plage Ancon encore en partie publique à 15 km. Taxi $30.00 Us. ou $45 Cdn. aller retour en Lada ou autos années 50. En partage revient pas cher.
À ne pas manquer une visite à La Casa de la Céramica et une visite à la Disco Grotte Cathédrale Alaya juste derrière l`Hôtel.
Il peut être avantageux parfois de payer en pesos ( Environ 17,500 pesos pour 100$ Cdn À L`hôtel par contre on n`accepte que les cartes et les prix seront en U.S.
