The hotel was well-maintained with courteous staff. We were upgraded to a more spacious room at no extra charge. The room was lovely and clean. The bed was super comfortable, and everything worked well (air conditioning, shower, etc.). The system for booking the à la carte restaurants is very efficient, and most restaurants don't require reservations: you go if there's space, otherwise, you go to the buffet. The restaurants were very good, by the way. The buffet was also great: varied and high-quality. We had everything we needed, which surprised us, being used to Cuba! There are many activities on the resort, something for everyone. The beach was nice and long enough for walking. If I had to find negative points, I would mention the seaweed, but it wasn't always there. The vendors on the beach, although friendly, woke us up when they walked by. But this didn't affect our trip, and we plan to return to this hotel. Our return flight was canceled and rescheduled for the next day. I would like to highlight Westjet's speed and efficiency in relocating us to another hotel of the same category (Barcelo Bavaro), which was also very good!

Hôtel bien entretenu avec un personnel courtois. Nous avons été surclassés sans frais dans une chambre plus spacieuse. La chambre était jolie et propre. Le lit était super confortable et tout fonctionnait bien (climatisation, douche, etc). Le fonctionnement pour réserver les resto à la carte est très efficace et la plupart des restos ne nécessitent pas de réservation: on y va s'il y a de la place, sinon, on va au buffet. Les restos étaient d'ailleurs très bons. Le buffet est aussi super: varié et de qualité. Il n'a manqué de rien, ce qui nous a surpris étant habitués à Cuba! Il y a beaucoup d'activités sur le site, pour tous les goûts. La plage était bien et assez longue pour marcher.

Si je cherche des points plus négatifs, je dirais les algues mais elles ne sont pas toujours là. Les vendeurs sur la plages, bien qu'ils soient gentils, nous ont réveillés en passant près de nous. Mais cela n'a pas affecté notre voyage et nous comptons retourner à cet hôtel.

Notre vol de retour a été annulé et reporté au lendemain. Je souligne la rapidité et l'efficacité de Westjet de nous replacer dans un autre hôtel de même catégorie (Barcelo Bavaro) qui était aussi très bien!

A SUPER hotel!!!
Un hotel SUPER !!!!!!!

Seriously, one of our best trips ever! The place was superb, beautiful beach (despite the sargassum seaweed), the rooms are perfect...and the food, wow! Lots of à la carte restaurant choices (you have to book in the morning on the app, but it's very easy). The steak grille was delicious...the Mexican and Japanese were okay. But there are so many choices at the buffet, and with the changing themes, it's impossible not to find more than enough! The restaurants and evening entertainment are concentrated in one section of the hotel, which makes the area around the rooms quieter. The lobby is splendid, the buffet is DELICIOUS...the pools are quite large (one is more lively than the other, so it's perfect!). We would go back without hesitation!! Only one downside: take a taxi! Don't wait for the shuttle, which makes every stop...it takes forever :) Otherwise, HAVE A GREAT TRIP! :)

Pour vrai, un de nos meilleurs voyages ! L'endroit était superbe, belle plage ( malgré les sargasses) les chambres sont parfaites...et la nourriture wow ! Bcp de choix de resto à la carte ( il faut réserver le matin sur l'application, mais c'est très simple) Le Steak grill était délicieux...le Mexicain et Japonais étaient ok. Mais il y a tellement de choix au buffet et avec les thématiques changeantes, impossible de ne pas y trouver PLUS que son compte !

Les restos et animations du soir sont concentrés dans une portion de l'hôtel, ce qui fait que le coin des habitations pour les chambres sont plus tranquilles.

Le lobby est splendide, le buffet DÉLICIEUX...les piscines assez grandes ( une plus animée que l'autre alors c'est parfait!)
Nous y retournerions sans hésiter !!
Seul bémol, prenez vous un taxi ! N'attendez pas la navette, qui fait tous les arrêts....c'est super long :)
