Overall, a great experience
Belle expérience en général
We loved the newly renovated rooms at this resort. They are beautiful and very spacious! The food is excellent and varied. We were less impressed with the Italian restaurant, which was a rehash of the buffet options. Unfortunately, we had to contend with the smell of sargassum seaweed and the inability to swim in the sea. The entertainment was generally good. Fabien was exceptional and very kind!
Nous avons adoré les nouvelles chambres rénovées de ce resort. Elles sont magnifiques et très spacieuses! La nourriture est excellente et variée. Nous avons moins apprécié le restaurant italien qui était une reproduction des choix offerts au buffet. Nous avons malheureusement dû faire face aux odeurs dégagées par les sargasses ainsi que l’impossibilité de nager dans la mer. L’animation était bien en général. Fabien était exceptionnel et très gentil!

It was sargassum seaweed season, we knew that perfectly well, but the hotel had completely given up on cleaning the beach, which is a shame. Otherwise, the hotel is a bit dated, but the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The food is very good, and it's quite close to the airport, although I would suggest taking a direct, private transfer. In short, a great family trip!
C'était la saison des Sargasses, on le savait très bien mais l'hôtel avait complètement abdiqué sur le nettoyage de la plage, ce qui est tout de même dommage. Sinon, l'hôtel est un peu vieillot mais le personnel est vraiment sympathique et avenant. La nourriture est très bonne et la distance de l'aéroport est plutôt courte bien que je suggère un transport direct et privé. En résumé, un beau voyage en famille!

Overall, a good experience, with a few areas for improvement. The food is good, but the buffet quickly becomes repetitive. The Mexican restaurant, however, is excellent and definitely worth a visit. Using the hotel app to book restaurants and check activities is convenient, but it requires you to stay on your phone a lot, which detracts somewhat from the "disconnect" aspect of a vacation. Another minor drawback is the salespeople offering extra services (white shirt/privilege): their approach is pushy and sometimes unpleasant. The beach is unfortunately not very usable: very narrow and full of sargassum seaweed. However, it's worth noting that this is a general situation in Puerto Morelos and not specific to the hotel. The main pool with its swim-up bar is very lively and noisy. This might appeal to some, but less so to those seeking peace and quiet. The facilities and activities for children are interesting and well-designed. The evening shows are entertaining and add a nice touch to the days. In summary: a decent hotel with good service and good food, but a few irritants to consider depending on the type of stay you're looking for.

L’utilisation de l’application de l’hôtel pour réserver les restaurants et consulter les activités est pratique, mais oblige à rester souvent sur son téléphone, ce qui enlève un peu l’aspect “déconnexion” des vacances.
Petit bémol aussi concernant les vendeurs de services supplémentaires (chemise blanche / privilège) : l’approche est insistante et parfois désagréable.
La plage est malheureusement peu utilisable : très étroite et beaucoup de sargasses. Par contre, il faut noter que c’est une situation générale à Puerto Morelos et non spécifique à l’hôtel.
La piscine principale avec swim-up bar est très animée et bruyante. Cela peut plaire à certains, mais moins à ceux qui recherchent le calme. Les installations et activités pour enfants sont intéressantes et bien pensées.
Les spectacles en soirée sont divertissants et ajoutent une belle touche aux journées.
En résumé : un hôtel correct avec bon service et bonne nourriture, mais quelques irritants à considérer selon le type de séjour recherché.

Overall, a pleasant stay, with consistently friendly staff and excellent food, especially in the à la carte restaurants. However, after four stays in four years at this hotel, and having chosen the Privilege section, we were disappointed this time. Upon arrival, the concierge informed us that the only available beach time for the restaurants was at 9:00 PM. For a Privilege stay, this is difficult to understand. At the Privilege pool, several guests were leaving their towels as early as 6:30 AM to reserve lounge chairs, meaning there were never any available spots. The hotel really shouldn't tolerate this practice. The sea was full of sargassum seaweed and unsuitable for swimming—not the hotel's fault—but unlike other establishments, no staff member was attempting to remove it. In short, a lovely stay thanks to the quality of the staff and food, but several important aspects need improvement, especially for Privilege guests.

Du côté de la piscine Privilège, plusieurs clients déposaient leurs serviettes dès 6h30 le matin pour réserver les chaises, ce qui fait qu’il n’y avait jamais de place. L’hôtel ne devrait vraiment pas tolérer cette pratique.
La mer était pleine de sargasses et non baignable — ce n’est pas la faute de l’hôtel — mais contrairement à d’autres établissements, aucun employé ne tentait d’en ramasser.
Bref, un beau séjour pour la qualité du personnel et de la nourriture, mais plusieurs points importants devraient être améliorés, surtout pour les clients Privilège.
