El Beso Adults Only At Ocean El Faro

Very good food, two varied buffets, several restaurants to suit all tastes (three à la carte options, reservations required from 8 am to secure a table), lovely atmosphere, access to the sea off-site right next door (the beach in front of the hotel has a lot of seaweed/rocks and large waves – red flag all week), room cleanliness was passable, a few minor damages and a musty smell. Overall, a beautiful and relaxing romantic getaway with very welcoming and entertaining staff. The main lobby of El Faro is majestic; we spent most of our evenings there with a drink and a chat. I recommend the El Beso experience for couples without children: two enormous pools at your disposal, one with entertainment and the other more relaxing, a buffet entirely dedicated to those 18 and over, including a small mimosa upon arrival with access to everything El Faro offers. A wonderful week where 90% of the people we met were Canadians!

Très bonne nourriture, 2 buffets variés plusieurs restaurants pour tous les goûts (3 a la carte à booker dès 8h pour obtenir une place) belle ambiance, accès à la mer hors site juste à côté (celle devant l’hôtel bcp d’algues/roches et grosses vagues(drapeau rouge toute la semaine), propreté des chambre passable quelques bris et odeur d’humidité. Somme toute beau voyage d’amoureux reposant et personnel très accueillant et divertissant . Lobby principal de El faro est majestueux on y a passer la majorité de nos soirées avec un verre à discuter. Je recommandes l’expérience El beso pour les couples sans enfants: 2 énormes piscines à votre disposition une avec animation et l’autre plus reposante, 1 buffet complètement dédié pour les 18ans et + incluant un petit mimosa dès l’arrivée avec accès à tout ce que El faro offre. Belle semaine ou 90% des gens rencontrés étaient des canadiens !

This is my third consecutive year at the Ocean El Faro, including two at the El Beso. The first year, I was charmed. Everything was perfect. I returned the following year, and everything had already changed, but not for the better. It was a little less good, a little less beautiful, a little less clean in every aspect, but not enough to deter me from returning. This year was very disappointing. The staff were barely smiling, making it clear through their attitude that service comes at a price! At the buffet, the food was less varied and of lower quality. Not enough plates or glasses. No salt, pepper, or sugar on the tables. The room was comfortable enough in terms of the bed and refrigerator, but upon arrival, the phone didn't work, the lock on the patio door was held on by only one screw, and one of the walk-in showers barely let any water through. The shampoo was the color of old motor oil and had a rather unpleasant smell. The gardens are well-maintained, except for the hedges which are cut with a machete, giving them an unsightly, overgrown appearance. I had plenty of chairs throughout my stay, but I had to get up at 6 a.m. to reserve one, something many others were doing, but which wasn't encouraged by management. Unfortunately, because of all this, I won't be returning. For the price, it's far too expensive!

C'est ma troisième année consécutive au Ocean El Faro, dont 2 au El Beso. La première année, je fus sous le charme. Tout était parfait. J'y suis retournée l'année d'après et déjà le tout avait changé, mais pas pour le mieux. C'était partout un peu moins bon, un peu moins beau, un peu moins propre dans tous les domaines, mais pas assez pour que je n'y retourne pas. Cette année fut très décevante. Le personnel peu ou pas souriant, te faisant comprendre par leur attitude, que le service, ça se paie! Au buffet, la bouffe moins variée et de moindre qualité. Pas assez d'assiettes, de verres. Pas de sel/poivre, sucre sur les tables. Dans la chambre même confort dans la chambre pour ce qui est du lit et du frigo, mais à mon arrivée, le téléphone ne fonctionnait pas, la barrure pour la porte patio ne tenait que par une vis et une des douches parapluie ne laissait passer que très peu d'eau. Un shampoing à la couleur de vieille huile à moteur et une senteur plutôt désagréable. Les jardins sont bien entretenus à part les haies qui sont taillées à la machette, ce qui donne un aspect de ''bon débarras'' pas très joli. Je n'ai pas manqué de chaises tout au long de mon séjour, mais je me levais à 6 heures pour la réserver, ce que plusieurs faisaient mais qui n'était pas souhaiter par la direction. Malheureusement, à cause de tout cela, je n'y retournerai plus. Rapport qualité prix, c'est beaucoup trop cher!

The staff were very focused on tips. The quality of site maintenance has declined, and the food has significantly decreased in quality, taste, and variety. Even the beach, which wasn't very nice to begin with, showed signs of neglect. We were disappointed by all of this. Unfortunately for us, it was our last visit.

Diminution de la qualité de l’entretien du site la nourriture a grandement diminué sur la qualité, goût et diversité.
Même la plage qui n’est pas très belle en partant nous avons constaté qu’un entretien n’est fait.
Nous avons été déçus de constater le tout.
Malheureusement pour nous c’était la dernière fois.
