A getaway with friends

I stayed for a week with a friend. We were pleasantly surprised by the buffet and the restaurants, which were very good, and the very friendly staff. Unfortunately, it's sargassum season, and we couldn't swim because of the abundance of seaweed. The room was clean but had a musty smell. We paid the hotel extra for an upgrade to an "El Beso" room, which gives access to an adults-only section. In hindsight, since we mostly used a different, quieter pool, the upgrade wasn't worth it. I wouldn't necessarily go back because of the beach, but for those who enjoy swimming, I would recommend it 100%.
J'ai séjourné une semaine avec une amie. Nous avons été agréablement surprise par le buffet et les restaurants qui sont très bons et le personnel qui est très souriant. Malheureusement, c'est la saison des sargasses et nous n'avons pas pu nous baigner tellement elles étaient abondantes. La chambre était propre, mais avait une odeur d'humidité. Nous avons payé à l'hôtel pour un surclassement en chambre ''El Beso'' qui donne accès à une section pour adultes seulement. Avec du recul, comme nous avons surtout fréquenté une autre piscine plus tranquille, le surclassement n'en valait pas la peine. Je n'y retournerais pas nécessairement vu la plage, mais pour ceux qui aiment faire de la piscine je recommanderais à 100%.

Very nice trip
Très beau voyage
Beautiful resort, very welcoming staff. Very clean grounds. Excellent restaurant and very easy booking via the app. One negative point: a lot of seaweed on the beach, perhaps due to the time of year we went (mid-April), but it was collected daily by the staff. If you prefer the sea, remember to bring water shoes as the beach is rocky at the entrance. Otherwise, a very nice pool with a sea view. Sometimes in the morning, there was a sewage smell in the room, seemingly coming from the drains, but it didn't last very long. I highly recommend this resort.
Très beau resort, personnel très accueillant. Site très propre. Restaurant excellent et réservation très simple via l’application. Point négatif: beaucoup d’algues sur la plage peut-être du au temps de l’année que nous sommes allés ( mi-avril) mais ramassé a tout les jours par les employés. Si vous êtes plus mer, penser à apporter des souliers d’eau car mer rocailleuse à l’entrée . Sinon très belle piscine avec vu sur la mer. Parfois en matinée, odeur d’égout dans la chambre, semblait provenir des drain mais ne durais pas très longtemps. Je vous suggère fortement ce resort.

It's worth switching to the El Beso :) It's an incredibly quiet hotel, very few activities, no parties or atmosphere. Perfect place to relax.
Ça vaut la peine de changer pour le El beso :) c’est un hôtel extra tranquille, très peu d’activités, aucun party ou ambiance. Place parfaite pour se reposer.

If you like going to the beach and swimming in the ocean, go somewhere else!
Si vous aimez faire de la plage et vous baignez dans l’océan, allez ailleurs!
The hotel is very nice, the restaurants, the room, etc. However, and this is a major drawback, it's impossible to swim in the ocean. Sargassum seaweed as far as the eye can see, as thick as the snowbanks in Quebec!
L’hôtel est très bien, les restos, la chambre, etc. Par contre, et c’est un désavantage majeur, impossible de se baigner dans l’océan. De la sargasse à perte de vue, à la hauteur des bancs de neige du Québec!!!
